When Pursued Whale enters the battlefield, each opponent creates a 1/1 red pirate creature token with "this creature cannot block" and "creatures you control must attack each combat if able."
Spells your opponents cast that target Pursued Whale cost 3 more to cast.
It's the magic gathering version of moby dick people this is awesome sad part is not legendary that would have been epic
And it makes captain ahab tokens that forces combat that's basically Goblin Spymaster token makers
It would be nice if there could be a way to group creatures without removing their flavorful types. A sort of creature super type, almost like Yugiohs elements, like Octopi, Kraken, Whales, etc could be Creature - Sea Monster - Whale. But that’d be rough on the type line for things that have multiple card types. That would allow for multiple tiers of tribal decks. If you’re playing a supertribe your overall synergy would be weaker to balance for the fact that you have access to more cards while normal tribes would get more powerful synergies to make up for the limited selection of cards. But I suspect that would be too much to ask for. I think we could still see instant as a super type to replace flash and group all things that can be cast at instant speed under the same thing but that’s about the extent of the messing with the type line they would do.

The best would be batching, but only Octopus, Serpent, Kraken and Leviathan would be batched as Sea Monsters, not whales. I am not sure why they're focusing on whales and sharks so much more recently, although there aren't enough of them to be sure.
Hm, I checked something. Previous "Hunted" creatures like the Ravnica cycle and Hunted Nightmare in Ikoria were called "Gejagter" in German, not "Verfolgter."
On the other hand, this is essentially exactly the "Hunted" mechanic, right? So I'm still wondering if this might be named Hunted Whale in English.

Yu-Gi-Oh does dumb ***** like not having multiple types on monsters that are obviously multiple types. Like Rokkets and Borrel’s obviously being mechanical dragons but only typed as dragons. They should be Machine Dragon.

I feel like whales should have been capped at 4/4 or at most 6/6. At this point they’re essentially leviathans. It’s silly having a whale at 8/8 and the kraken of the set a 4/6 although I do love Tolarian Kraken (probably my favorite card in the set)

I mean, Sperm Whales eat Giant Squid, which are effectively the Kraken's of our current sea. It doesn't really make sense to cap them below Kraken's, since they're both massive creatures of the sea, and if fantasy Kraken are bigger than regular Giant Squid, it makes no sense for there not to also be fantasy Whales that are as big or bigger.
That’s silly. What’s the difference between a dragon, a drake, a serpent, or wurm? It’s physical characteristics that often distinguish them you dont need p/t tiers. On Segovia a leviathan is a 3/3 because everything on that plane is much smaller. Lorthos is a massive, ancient octopus bigger than quite a few leviathans and krakens.
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I meant using P/T as a means to give certain creatures more character.
There is definitely a P/T discrepancy in MTG. Which needs to be rectified.
For example. Some stupid non-legendary Wurm on Ravnica can be a 16/16 while Emrakul herself is 15/15? Even with its extra effects, speaking strictly in size, Emarakul should easily dwarf a wurm growing in a city plane, with minimal habitat. Let alone some basic one that isn't even special. And that wurm shouldn't be larger than a kraken the size of an island, or nearly the size of a multiverse-level demigod like Marit Lage.
I get what you’re saying. Thats still a difficult task to plane to plane, not to mention the 25 years worth of creatures. Sure they didnt need to make a random wurm “bigger” than eldrazi, but kinda need to take it all with a grain of salt. If the p/t were going to have more realistic relative p/t the eldrazi should probably be like 50/50 for p/t. Lol that’s why they have all the extra abilities because p/t isnt the only way to demonstrate “power”.
