When other people think of Mutate as being "Parasitic", this is exactly the sort of card I think of. The primary use of the mutate ability here is to trigger the mutate triggers of other cards. Otherwise, it's just better to straight-up cast this card.

This is one of the least parasitic Mutate cards, as far as I'm aware - if you cast this for its Mutate cost and put it on a creature you control, you get at least 3 more power for 5 mana. Put this on a 1/X and that's 5 more power for 5 mana on 2 bodies.

1GU Sorcery
Create a 3/3 token.
Kicker 2, sacrifice a non-Human - Create two 3/3 tokens instead.
This isn't exactly what the card says, but it's close enough, and I fail to see in any way, shape or form how this is "parasitic".
it isn't parasitic at all, some people just confuse "has synergy with itself" and "is parasitic".
Now, this particular card will probably not be played in a deck without more mutate stuff, but you'll find such cards with many mechanics.
I'm sorry but I still see this card as pretty parasitic (at least relatively speaking).
Putting a mutate card behind a creature should give you something that you wouldn't get if you didn't hardcast the creature itself... other than other mutate triggers. Every other mutate card spoiled so far gives your mutated creature something of note if you put them behind the mutated creature (such as a mutate trigger you don't get on ETB or a keyword)... and this card replaces itself and does nothing else.
While it's true that this card could work in front, giving your mana dork a +2/+2 bonus, mutate is meant to go in front or behind and I personally feel that neither should seem pointless.
I think parasitic would really be the creatures that do not have mutate themselves, but have mutate triggers. They exist only to get mutated and are bad otherwise. There will be at least some of those, but I doubt very many.
With Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Chromatic Lantern still in standard this guy and the polly*** are the ideal starters to the mutate chain for the 5-color Mythic Mutate I wanna make.
