I’m standing my ground besides I need proof this actually happens of someone loses that much on this (if they get it anyway)
I said it already for my case it’s bad is due to this one isn’t online it’s in stores and limited to 10 per store so even less than the mother secret lair
And there’s somewhat no point on getting this since they just confirmed they gonna be reprints in a upcoming supplament set but even in that supplament set and even if it’s print on demand it wouldn’t reduce the price drasticly enough to break even point
Proof? Proof that past Secret Lairs with 5 cards only cost $40-$50? Did you pay $175+ for previous Secret Lairs?
And they never said in that video that enemy fetchlands would be reprinted twice this year, they said fetchlands would be reprinted twice this year. That could mean allied fetchlands getting an overpriced Secret Lair later this year.
Have we confirmed that the “second printing” isn’t the one random fetch you get with the full summer secret lair bundle? I wouldn’t be surprised, sadly.

Yeah, I don’t want a random Fetchland from a product I may not want, I want a copy of each Fetchland that I could have had at WotC’s MSRP had they done this Secret Lair at print for demand. If WotC does seriously listen to a place like this, I swear places like this doesn’t think things through before we run our mouth.
God damn I wish my favorite band, who barely ever listens to us hardcores about any advice whether it’s which songs should be played per night, to which shows they should release to us, listens as much as WotC apparently watches these boards. You could tell I’m frustrated.
Everyone whinging about fetches not being in a standard legal set better buckle up, because that ain't changing any time soon. WotC explicitly DOES NOT want fetches + shocks in Pioneer, meaning any reprints are going to be in supplemental sets.
As far as the Secret Lair itself is concerned, I'll finally accept THIS as proof they care about the secondary market. Prior examples people were holding up COULD have been attributed to the printed rarity of the cards, despite what many people here seemed to believe. This is 5 rares, so that's officially dead. That being said, I don't consider opting to NOT cause the secondary market to collapse in on itself to be a bad thing. They're prioritizing maintaining customers over replacing them.

One of each average joe price total is $277 dollars (rounded)
So you nag one you save $115 dollars
However they still screwed up on how to get this one it’s only available at game stores and each game store can only get 10
Not to mentioned they just confirmed they have them in the line up for reprints in a supplement set outside standard so if it’s the same art as secret lair that’s another facepalm
This is faulty logic. You’re comparing this to secondary market prices. WotC claims they aren’t influenced or informed by the secondary market at all. If that were true this product would be in the $40-$50 price range. So we’re not saving $115, we’re losing at least $125.

Short term this kind of product is always a profit for the people that buy early and sell immediately as there is always someone willing to pay even more outrages prices and for whatever reason does not order them simply by themselves.
However, long term the value of the stuff is CRUSHED , all the Secret Lair cards so far reduced in value dramatically to a point you better sell all the cards you have when it potentially could be part of a Secret Drop in the forseeable future.
And the bad part about this, they print this Secret Drops like CANDY now, as its such a insane easy way to print money for them and leech on the people that suck all of them up (not counting resellers, there are people that actually buy these for a horrendous premium, who ever these crazy people are ... ).

Having a set of fetchlands is at least an investment in Magic that is very well worth its high price tag, as you play these "forever".

True I can agree with that it’s better to sell as soon as possible when you get them rather than later and the more bought out ones tank quite a bit
But I do need to remind on that scarcity likely to hit them eventually in a few years or more (no way to tell when really) will cause them to go up in whatever time in the future
But like you said in the end this one has something that’s played in every format by as many people as so that alone makes this one of the better lairs (whatever the upcoming supplament set is for whatever the fetchlands (ally/enemy/both) they better remember to use different art if enemy)
Everyone whinging about fetches not being in a standard legal set better buckle up, because that ain't changing any time soon. WotC explicitly DOES NOT want fetches + shocks in Pioneer, meaning any reprints are going to be in supplemental sets.
Wouldn't they just end up banning enemy fetches like they did with allied ones though? It's not like the enemy ones are any more special than the allied fetches. At this point there's really no reason why they haven't been reprinted in a Standard set by now. Sure, they could be waiting for Ravnica to rotate so we don't have fetches and shocks at the same time, but there's no reason for the enemies to be the price they are.

There is a very explicit reason they haven't been printed in standard. Every time they have been in standard they have caused problems. They have said this, they don't like fetches in standard and not just because of added shuffling though that is something they don't like. So there is no need to auto ban fetches in pioneer because they have no intention of ever printing them in standard for exclusively standard reasons.
At only 10 per store few if any will go for 165. It’s a joke
I fully expect the “MSRP”, because there isn’t one, to be $200. I could maybe talk myself into getting one of these for that price if this was printed for demand. This is another cluster**** by WotC.
It’s amusing to me that the one secret lair which should have been print to demand with an established price was sent to local game stores with no MRSP in limited quantities.
I’m sure keeping fetch lands exclusive Was always the intention. Not that personally mind. I don’t care for them until I see a Theros themed one. I’m thankful I have such specific and narrow demands that spares me from many nonsense moves by WOTC.

So there is no need to auto ban fetches in pioneer because they have no intention of ever printing them in standard for exclusively standard reasons.
The reasons they caused problems mostly stems from them putting them out while having nonbasics with basic land types. As for the shuffling do remember that at the time that standard also had Valakut, a deck made of land searching effects like Cultivate and Primeval Titan, Stoneforge Mystic, Squadron Hawk, and a couple others. That entire format was practically made of shuffle effects.
While just fetches exist and all you are doing is looking for a basic it's incredibly easy to fast pass a turn going "I'll crack this and search for a Forest" rather than waiting to see which nonbasic they may get.
With that said WotC does say a lot of things and don't expect any "rule" of theirs to stay the way it is. They said they wouldn't do fetches and nonbasics with basic land types after the first time they did it and yet it happened again and they learned it slowed down the game back in Zendikar and they reprinted them in Khans, so WotC doesn't even abide by their own little rules.
All I'm saying is "shuffling slows the game down" is at best just meeting at decent reason and at worst is stupid's second cousin. If fetches can only find basics they would be fine and there's no reason to believe that they will never show up again in Standard.
It's making me kind of sick when people are now saying Secret Lairs used to 'only cost $50'
'Only cost $50'? That's still crazy high for 5 cards printed direct to customers. Booster packs have 15 cards for $4
All cardboard costs the exact amount to print, even with art costs and such there's no excuse for this.
for shame Wizards
Which would leave one card with new and one with old art open, my gusses would be any one of those:

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
There is a very explicit reason they haven't been printed in standard. Every time they have been in standard they have caused problems.
You say that like the cards being absurdly expensive isn’t another type of problem.
Also, I can’t tell where the Scalding Tarn is supposed to be- Zendikar? Shadowmoor? Grixis?
The Scalding Tarn is Shiv in Dominaria, the Marsh Flats is Lorwyn, the Verdant Catacombs is Innistrad, the Arid Mesa is Amonkhet, and the Misty Rainforest is Ixalan.

It would be good to get REB/Pyroblast and Incinerate. Those are cards that are actually used by people in eternal formats and cubes. And I'm not gonna lie that I need them because I'm sick of moving my REBs between EDH, pauper and legacy decks. I would happily buy playset with that frame.
If we base the speculations on Gideon SB then we will get some low $ artifact linked to Chandra. From those three you mentioned only Googles are somewhat playable in EDH, so maybe those?
As for some cards you not mentioned:
- Pyromancer Ascension (probably too late for reprint due to storm and phoenix decks not playing it anymore)
- Young Pyromancer (always welcome as this is a staple in all spellslinger decks in all formats)

I hope we get the goggles, they are iconic, the regulator already got an alt art and the gauntlet isn’t that appealing to be honest.
That’s a good one, I loved Pyromancer Ascension during Zendikar, would be nice the get one in that frame. I was hesitant to include any creatures, because so far they have always been full of spells, the planeswalker would use, but after Gideon had the blackblade in his book, who knows, if they won’t include creatures. If so, I would personally hope for Chandra's Phoenix, just because I love the old art, and it would be nice in the new frame (and one could say, that it is a spell )

Wotc is currently printing about two thousand new products a year, but is acting like it would just be *impossible* to print fetches in a (reasonably priced) booster product without forcing them into standard/pioneer. We get it, you think fetches shouldn't be in standard, that's fine, that doesn't mean they have to be kept $50+ per card forever.

That’s kind of right but
This is $165 for one of each enemy fetch according to second market approximately $277 average for one of all 5 enemy fetches and I highly doubt these will get a massive tank like a couple of the other secret lairs that got bought out more because people actually use this one in decks and not sell and also the real stupid thing about this you can’t get it the same way as the other secret lairs you have to get this at a LGS and that’s even worse because each one can only get 10 so even more rare

While the vast majority of these will go out through WPN stores, there will be another opportunity to pick these up. The week after these go on sale at WPN stores, we'll be running a Secret Lair superdrop much like we did in December. We'll share more details about all of the drops closer to June, but the one detail we can share today is that if you purchase the bundle that combines each drop that goes on sale during the superdrop, you'll receive one random fetch land for each bundle you purchase.
Have to say, though, I actually agree this is a greedy move on WotC's part. Like, it's not surprising they'd take advantage of this opportunity, they are a for-profit business, but I wish they weren't so blatant about it. They could mark these down a good bit more and still make a large profit compared to the cost of actually making these. This is just taking advantage of artificial scarcity.

My guess, based on what we know so far, and the ones we got before, would be this:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - old art
Past in Flames - new art
Chandra's Ignition - new art (the one on the frontpage)
Red Elemental Blast - new art (Jace got the blue one, so I guess they would give her the other)
Pyromancer's Goggles / Pyromancer's Gauntlet / Chandra's Regulator - new art, but hard to say, which of them they would choose
Incinerate - old art (to mirror Jace Counterspell from the Duel Deck)
