Yawn. Unless another upcoming set has an enchantment focus, it's not enough for this to be nothing but a limited nightmare.
I mean, I don't think He's boring at all, very interesting design since we only have one other "Enchantment Matters Walker" Estrid decks will want to scoop him up
So that's where Xenagos' spark went...
I really like his make-a-Banishing Light ability, but I wonder just how far (sets-wise) Wizards is willing to support this guy.
Well (known for awhile now) look like the last walker isn't Dack.
I do wonder what Calix story is and how he sparked. Interesting too he's a servant of the destiny god but GW himself.
A four mana walker that dosnt protect himself isn't the greatest, I see him more like the zombie liliana, good in the deck that can use him not as good else where.
“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
My beautiful precious love! I cannot wait to use this card in commander! I didn’t expect GW for him but I’ll make it happen. Wish he was UW bit frankly I just love and adore this card. His art and effects are brilliant!
Y'know, if there's a critical mass of decent enchants, Abzan or Bant "enchantress" with Setessan Champion and Calix could be good. I mean recurring Sagas seems good.
Imo they should had Ajani in this slot. I mean it is nice to have a enchantment focused walker but... Is it really that great here? For me it looks like a card made entirely for enchantress EDH decks and thus it would feel more in home on a Commander deck (or in that new commander set that will be relesed later this year).

Did you feel the same way about Tezzeret or Saheeli?

His second ability does protect himself from threats via a Banishing Light ability.
I love this card. I think he works really well with Siona and the repeatable banishing light is cool.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone

I misread and thought he just banished there enchantments. Still dropping him down to 1 still makes it hard to protect him.
Re-reading his second ability though it is interesting that the exiled creature or enchantment stay exile with him gone since it ties it to an enchantment.

He's alright. He follows the recent trendof powerfulbut narrowPlaneswalkers. He pretty mure demands you use Enchantment-based removal like Banishing Light to be really good, and exiling cards with his -3 into Enchantment Creatures or Auras is just too risky.
With that said, digging four-deep for a card is sweet, he both protects himself and generates card advantage and has an impactful Ultimate that isn't too hard to achieve. He seems strong, let's just see if he has a home.
As an aesthetics-first EDH player, I just wish the enchantment-matters walkers they give us were just a bit more magical and whimsical. This guy just looks boring.
This is essentially the normal 5cc Walker for 4, in exchange for dealing in enchantments, which this set already has high level support for. Probably way better than people think right now.
I really wish they’d let other colors or color combinations get enchantress stuff. It doesn’t even make sense for green from a color pie stance. Only from a tradition stance.

Did you feel the same way about Tezzeret or Saheeli?
Depends on the versions. Saheeli 1.0 had a combo that warped standard and pioneer and was a playable walker in limited and standard (even after the ban of the cat tho only in tier 2 lists but the copy ability made her usefull tho and not limited to one card type). Saheeli 2.0 (war) was great in limited and played for sometime in standard (soo far) but this time she cared for 3 card types instead of 2 (mostly).
What about Tezzeret? The one from Alara that gave pseudo vigilance to creatures or tutored for something(probably one of the worst tezerets for limited and prob standard)? The one from mirrodin that searched for the artifacts that he then could transform into 4/4s? The one from Kaladesh that ramped and had removal (again in a artifact heavy set that had lots of relevancy)? Tezzeret from core 19 (great limited player and fringe playable in standard)? Tezzeret from war that although unable to be played in limited made for some combo brews arrond hin?
IMO Calix is ok for a removal pick in limited and thats it, great that people will be able to play enchantress brawl with hin as the commander but it is a card that lack the power to be realy relevant in limited and probably also in standard and older formats. All the Tezzerets feel more desirable than this guy. And i m not saying that it should not be printed, just saying that printing this in a main standard set is a let down, the card looks more like a commander inclusion on the set than a card they design with standard in mind.
Huh, a manufactured planeswalker....he seems...interesting?
Wonder how he gets his spark and how he's GW made by a GR God.

And now we wait for Tiro.
I guess he was hired by klothys to get her back to the underworld
