When was the last time we saw a full stack counterspell? This thing is yet another answer against Storm, but I am wondering where else this might get some use.
This can counter all of the Eldrazi titans except Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and even with the original Emrakul it still counters the “take an extra turn” ability unless they pay 4. Seems super strong at first glance and forces your opponent in standard playing Hydroid Krasis to either have a counter for this or leave 8 mana open (or 4 mana if they want to pick between the ability or creature half of the Krasis). It almost makes Gadwick, the Wizened the better creature draw spell in some respects if you think your opponent has this counter, since Gadwick’s draw is an ETB and does not go on the stack at the same time you cast him.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
a...more expensive...and better....FLUSTERSTORM!!!
Edit: I found the source

Or am I wrong?
I'm much more concerned about it countering on cast triggers and abilities in general than countering storm cards.
and the related Scorch Spitter and then the Chandra's Phoenix triggers won't even go on the stack as a result. Beautiful tech against mono-red.
Edited for clarity.
Well yes but doesn’t mana abilities in a way have split second due to how fast the mana gets added and since they don’t hit the stack

If that’s your main goal,
you’d be better off running a cheaper option like Squelch.
Or even good old Stifle
