These gotta have some sort of labeling to tell you a foil Harmonic Sliver from these Mystery Packs are distinct from the original print of foil Harmonic Slivers, right? I mean, a part from the foiling process.....
All the reprints have a planeswalker symbol in the botton left of the cards.
And people all over the table were opening great value. I think three Solemn Simulacrums were opened in the pod. The guy next to me had Mana Crypt. There was an Expropriate and a foil Marrow Gnawer, and lots of other stuff. I really hope we draft this next week. It's some of the funnest drafting I've ever done!
The prices for cards in this set have tanked really bad. I figured the foils would drop, but Sen Triplets is 16 bucks! A friend was really excited he pulled two Expropriates, and it was a decent pull for sure, but not at all what he expected. On the flipside, this is a really fun draft environment and I look forward to doing it as much as possible!

Selvala already lost two thirds of the value from conspiracy
Selvala's price was always at the $30+ range. She might have dropped for now versus what she was pre-Mystery Box, but she's still a super strong card and will remain desirable. It most certainly wasn't more than $60 non-foil before this - so saying it lost 2/3 of it's value is an exaggeration.
The Foil Selvala price isn't going anywhere but up. Being printed in non-foil here just means that it's not going to see a reprint again anytime soon, let alone a foil version. The same can be said of Queen Marchesa.

Isn't that one of the goals with reprint sets? To depress prices by making cards more accessible.

Indeed
People found it hard to believe it would happen this time because of so many cards
But that theory backfired because mystery booster got confirmed as print on demand product (unlimited print run)
Ultimately, each card in this entire set has the approximate rarity of a normal mythic in a normal set (from what I am told, at least).
While the somewhat higher price of these packs matter, most $20 cards here would have their prices impacted if they were printed as mythics in a normal set.

It all adds up.
Actually boxes are alike 103-118 so that’s like 4.30 per pack and getting a unlimited print run (print on demand)
That’s why the cards are dropping lots will pop out in stores
Printed on demand aparently soo try to sell the things you don't want to keep now, while they hold some value
I have to say this was a homerun product by Wizards. Drafts are very fun, and even opening some boosters isn't too bad. Hope next year they do something like this again
I don't mind the lower prices, but the box price went up 60 bucks yesterday, and is back down another ten today, at least according to TCG listings. The EV is going down and the box price rises, I can only imagine it is from how fun the set is to draft. I have done 2 so far and both felt incredibly powerful and versatile.

Aw man that stupid greedy people/no more msrp has hit this now
Now it’s 150 a box now it’s $6.25 a pack
That’s still much better than master sets though since those were 10 though and atleast it’s still a unlimited print run product (print on demand)
Just wait for flippers to get their hands on those boxes, if boosters are being selled for $6 a pack (from the $4 original) in about 2 weeks there will be people selling them for $5($120 a box 24 packs) in Ebay, etc.
Got some nice cards in yesterday's draft. During the draft, someone passed me a recruiter of the guard which I kept despite being outside my colors (thanks so MUCH!). I got some other nice cards but the best was found in the 4 boosters I opened after the tournament was over (I finished 2nd): purphoros, god of the forge then teferi's protection.
So much value for a mere 35$ CDN to participate. I got over 100$ worth of cards but I admit I got lucky, the winner opened some crappy cards... I wouldn't buy a box since there is a lot of crap in there, but overall our group opened several value cards including selvala, heart of the wilds. This was a strange drafting experience, compared to regular sets. I definitely recommend trying it!

Ok, again, MSRP WAS NOT A LIMIT. This happened when WotC still set MSRP. MSRP has NOTHING to do with this. Stop saying that it does.
This is a result of supply drying up and product becoming more scarce. It does not matter if it's a print to demand product - right now stores CANNOT order more because no one has more to send them. Prices will go up as a result because demand is still insane for these.
Oh, and if you were getting these for $4 a pack, you were lucking out. Retail - or what would've been MSRP - should've been $6 a pack. Anything less was a result of retailers willingly losing money to sell something they didn't really need to lose money on. My stores ordered near its maximum and we were completely sold out by end of day Saturday, selling them at $6 a pack/$139 a box, what would've been the normal MSRP for these.
These were great at $110 or below. As is now they're a pretty bad price. Modern horizons is less per pack and a way higher quality of draft. I'm loving seeing the singles prices come down, but the boxes are simply no worth right now
Everybody seems strangely short-sighted for the value-obession. Just wait a few years, and these tanked prices will be way up again. It's not rocket science, it happens every time. Be glad for tanked prices while they last. Get your Defense of the Heart now. Prices will go up and we all know it.

While true, they rarely come close to previous price in the modern era. Especially the cards that started in the 20 dollars or less range. Additionally, everything here is reprintable. That means every single one of these cards that falls in price has the potential to stay there jf they start to creep up and get reprinted again. Not everything is as in demand as crypt.

Normally I would agree but reminder this is print on demand set so that won’t happen for a while till they decide to stop/fans stop asking for it
But yes it will go up eventually just not till near the time they stop printing this set

I paid £12 for the draft, and went 4-0 with a deck containing Skullclamp, Caged Sun,(foil) Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund, Sword of the Animist, and Defense of the Heart in the sideboard. Plus some great random cards of good use but lesser value like Sewer Nemesis, Shriekmaw, Filigree Familiar, Pelakka Wurm, and Mogg War Marshal. I got no prize for winning, but that's some amazing value for the £12 I paid.

I would assume a one time release promo only at a convention to be more expensive than random foils of cards that have seen print before.
