Not something I'd buy but this is a cute idea for a charity event. It will most likely be popular (two of the biggest franchises within Hasbro) which is great for the charity.

I don't understand how you control Applejack, Pinkie Pie, etc. Sounds like breakfast cereals and high calorie snack items to me.

As a correction, for anyone who didn't read the article, these are available starting October 22nd - November 5th (while supplies last). There is also a Playmat "pack" with 3 playmats for $100 and 4 sleeves for Arena for $4 each.

I don't generally care for My Little Pony but I will definitely be picking these up. They look pretty cool. I will probably end up getting at least one sleeve since a) it is for charity and b) I want something different than the sleeves I have now anyway.

Uh... am I misreading something? Looking at the article, it looks like this set releases on the 22nd, not the 12th.

I like them and I'll spring for a set. I just hope they're not overly difficult to get from the website like everything else as of late.

Just in case you're not sure, that's the name of the other main characters of My Little Pony. Unfortunately, that's a broken link, as is the 'Pony' creature type mentioned.

Personally I like the Nightmare Moon ones the best, and also I think it was more about Twilight becoming both an alicorn and a princess at the same time.

Yes, they said in the article that it was referencing cards that didn't exist. Then they said they "couldn't currently talk" about if more stuff was coming out.

If a player wanted to actually use Twilight's everyone wins ability in a game then they could play several _____ to get the other needed names.

Given the earlier promotional Hasbro MTG cards Wizards released, I was expecting to be laughing hard at My Little Pony cards. I'm surprised how little I'm laughing at these.

Where is that "cares about rarity" design space in Un-sets that Rarity is using here?!? I want more of it!

Night-time: Dark outside
AnyPony: Any Player
Friend(s): Player's who contributed mana towards Nightmare Moon's ability cost. See: Join Forces
Pegasi: Pegasus
Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Rarity: Creature cards (or toys) for the five 'Friends of Equestria'.
Nightmare Moon: Goddess of Night
Princess Luna: Nightmare Moon before becoming evil.
Princess Twilight Sparkle: The lead character of My Little Pony, she trains to replace Princess Luna's vacant position.

Anyone know how much these MLP cards are going to be worth as card singles outside the Hasbro Website? One of my friends is interested in building an EDH / Commander deck around Nightmare Moon / Princess Luna and I'm hoping I won't have to pay a premium to obtain it online similar to the Grimlock HasCon Promo which is currently going for $150-170 a piece on the Secondary Market. If I run a proxy of her then everyone's going to think that the card's fake not knowing that there was a My Little Pony Crossover with Magic: The Gathering similar to Transformers at HasCon.
