He's very similiar to 6 mc Vraska, who was well playable. But this Garruk imo is better @ all abilities.
First da tokenz. Vraska goes up, to 8 loyality, but 1 token only.
Garruk stays @ 5 loyality with the chance to gain more, but the board-impact is twice as good !
Destroyin stuff: Vraska hits more card-types, but the treasure is irrelevant. Garruk hits the most common card-type & draws 1 card. Slightyly better imo.
Vraska's ultimate is game over & after 2 turns accessable.
Garruk's is in 1 turn !
So Garruk is better @ all fronts imo Especially his token production !
Is he @ the levels of 6 Mana Liliana, Chandra & Elspeth ?
What I just realised is the following:
Play him, create two wolves, sac them and get him to survive one round, after that he will produce 5/5 wolves with trample.
I‘m not the standard player but this seems really strong for any sacrifice oriented EDH deck...
Even better: keep the around for potential blocking and sac them right before you ult. Or get wolves, wait for next turn, wrath, ult, beat.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
How many people are going to be baking wolves into pies with Witch's Oven?
I was going to Bankrupt them in Blood for card draws or Bone Splinters to destroy my opponent's creatures, but Baking into Pies could be fun too...everyone needs some life gain.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Vraska: You could try showing your hair more often. Some girls like the "tousled intellectual" look.

They probably took most of his stuff when he was captured, and all he had time to take back was his axe.
