So, they put the legend that reanimates creatures and artifacts in the deck focused on instants and sorceries?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
That is true. Evidently, there will be a subtheme of saccable permanents in the Flashback deck.
Something I just noticed about Gerrard's art is that most of the Weatherlight crew is depicted in the orange "glass". Tahngarth, Sisay, and Squee on the left, Orim, Mirri, and Karn on the right, and a large picture of Hanna in the back. Man, does that give me feels. ;_; Gerrard and Hanna deserved a happy ending!

Hanna's original card is serviceable, but something more focused on artifacts would be nice.
Other Weatherlight crew members who could use new cards:
Orim Ertai Crovax (preferably pre-Vampire) Starke Tahngarth (the original breaks color pie by putting vigilance on a red creature, and for some reason he doesn't simply use fight) Rofellos Karn
Over half of these are on the Reserved List. Would be nice to have new cards that can actually be reprinted. What would be really super is a supplemental set that recounts the Weatherlight saga. It would include some reprints (including cards like Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist, Sisay, Weatherlight Captain, and of course Weatherlight) as well as a bunch of new cards (including hopefully a better card for Gerrard). The set would cover the early days of the crew, like when Rofellos was still alive and Selenia was Crovax's guardian Angel, and proceed through the Rath, Mercadia, and Invasion arcs. Cycling, Kicker, and Domain would be the major featured mechanics, along with perhaps a combat keyword. Reverse Flanking, perhaps? Or a renamed Bushido?

You know, I realized a little while ago that Gerrard could have had a Heroic ability instead, which would have worked tremendously with the instant/sorcery theme. How could they have missed such a golden opportunity!?

It's the only graveyard-focused deck, plus the only spell previewed so far for it is a reanimator spell.

I've got 2 words for you. Boros. Aristocrats Definitely gonna try it out at least for the purposes of experimentation. (Boros Eggs would also be cool)
Sisay, Weatherlight Captain
Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist
Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero
Looking at you next, Hanna.
New Hanna would be cool, not gonna lie.

Older Magic as a Board Game: Panglacial Wurm , Mill
