The set may end up being good, but the flavor does not resonate with me, though. But that's okay. Not everything has to be for me. I have no reservations about the cards themselves. I'm sure they'll be fine.

How does The Little Mermaid, Hansel & Gretel, King Arthur etc not resonate?

I am the opposite. I am all about this art!
And you are right, not every set is for everyone. I did not like a lot of Kaladesh when it was new (although I have grown to like it quite a bit years later).
Quite a few direct fairy tale/Arthurian myth analogue card arts shown here, much like Innistrad wiht horror stories.
From some of the artwork there seems to be a focus on equipments which I'm very excited about
That's reading a little far into it right now, but "Camelot meets Grimm fairy tales" is a theme that could easily support equipment as somewhat of a theme.
This looks so cool! I love the artwork and it will be cool to see Rowan again. My only quip is that it would be weird if some characters from both sides of the inspiration aren't legendary.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
I see a rather murderous Goldilocks in there. Also... Kasmina is/was a knight?
The known Planeswalker is Rowan (and presumably Will) Kenrith, from Battlebond.
Compare this piece of Eldraine art:
To her existing card art (pay particular attention to her sword):
That could be Rowan, but both she and the woman in the new art are pretty generic looking, so that's not really confirmation.
Scratch that: the swords are the same, which means that it is almost certainly her.
Confirmed- Eldraine is swords and sorcery Arthurian and Grimm fairy tales themed.

It's got to be. Makes sense- 'Rowan Kenrith' is a pretty Arthurian-esque name.

Yeah Rowan and Will's names make a lot more sense in this context!
