does it have potential for draw-go decks ?
i mean its a cantrip with a body that could be used as a removal, just dont know if there is any deck, that wants this 1/1 body ?
An MTGthesource (Legacy-focused site) user posited that they can basically trickle in the cards they want players to use into Modern from Legacy, and make fixed variants of the broken ones, so that Modern can eventually become the "new" Legacy. This would make sense as people would need to shell for shocklands instead of duals and fetches would still be shared across formats.
It may be a little far-fetched, but it makes sense from Wizards' point of view since they make no money off Legacy, I don't think.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
There seems to be a worrying trend in this set that all these cards are new and weaker variants of cards I've already been playing with for years.
So far that's pretty accurate. Force of Meh, Neutered Hermit, Almost Strix...

This is a card that my Knightfall deck has been waiting for for years. I wonder if i can make the snow support work but nonetheless, this two drop will fit in very nicely.
I mean, to be fair, it isn't all that hard to make this guy a better baleful stryx. Just replace the normal basics in your deck with snow basics. It's not like you don't actively get them with fetches, fields of ruin, and path, not to mention the new fetch that searches any basic you need. If they also give us snow duels, he becomes the best ambush viper ever made.

The lack of innovation on display so far is really something. Time Spiral-esque remixing / nostalgia this is not.
This is more like going to your local flea market and seeing cheap sneakers with an Adirdas logo. i.e., knock-offs.
Putting that broad criticism of the set as-yet-revealed aside, snow cards have been the slow-motion structural failure of Magic design for what... 24 years, now? I am really just flabbergasted that they still can't crack this mechanic. I get it if they want to save major innovation for a different set, but really. Really. Snow has been lame for so long. Why even do it again if you can't make it cool?
