"Masques Block is the worst block ever! There's not one decent card in there! The whole internet say's so, you're literally the only person who ever said it was good!" - random noob in a conversation with an Eldrazi.

I think something like this - don't expect something crazy like Gravestorm or Transfigure, and no new mechanics.
(These keywords are possible on new cards, if we add reprints to the list I think we can expect protection as well).
I'm personally holding out for more soulbond. That's a cool mechanic that I found easy to grok. It's pretty high on the ole Storm Scale because a lot of people didn't think it was all that intuitive, I guess. Bummer.

Can you name all of the creature types with at least 20 cards? Try my Sporcle Quiz! Last Updated: 6/29/20 (Core Set 2021).
Oh... wow... I think many of us have been waiting for this for a long time. Great way for the casual builder to go nuts!!! Also, great way for R&D to explore design space that has been barely touched. A lot of block keywords had 5 - 10 cards w/ a particular keyword, like Hellbent or Storm. Outside of Commander pre-made decks and random supplemental sets (like Conspiracy) there aren't many opportunities to explore the design space. Each time we visited Ravnica the Rakdos got a new keyword, so there was no reason to revisit Hellbent.
I have such high hopes for cards of all rarities. I also am going to bet that this will be a high value ($$$) set, like Time Spiral is now.
40, eh? That's four per color pair, though most keywords will no doubt appear in more than two colors. But I figure most of them will have a focus color pair. What if the keywords are grouped by certain themes?
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Look, I get that you want to feel important and announce new info, but I hardly think every small piece of info needs its own thread. This could have easily been mentioned and discussed in another preexisting Modern Horizons thread
(Not backseat modding here, I'm just wondering why we have so many new threads with so little actual substance to them)
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Okay, so the list of keywords is restricted to Modern, and cuts off at Khans of Tarkir block. Good to know.
