A Cycle of Allied Swords seems very plausible, considering the crunch!
The main issue with that is Mythic distribution.
It is safe to assume each color will get two mono-mythic rare cards. That, with the colorless mythic and rainbow mythic means there are only 3 mythic spots left to fill. I doubt that they would do a partial cycle of swords. However, they could steal two rare slots for mythic slots and do it, but I find that unlikely at best.
Ash Barrens could be a solid add for Astral Drift, as neither the Urza's Saga nor Onslaught cycling lands fit the crunch, and it pairs thematically with Prismatic Vista.
Other odd lands that are still probable, given that this feels more like an EDH supplemental product than a Modern supplemental product: Ghost Town Shivan Gorge Dust Bowl (we're not getting Wasteland) High Market (long shot, but not impossible) Kor Haven Terrain Generator
Planeshift's Lair Cycle (never reprinted, but would consume most of the open slots) Crystal Quarry (never reprinted)
I would speculate in other areas, but, after the disappointment of Force of Rage, I'm less excited about this set.

I don’t know if I agree with your opinion on mythic distribution. I could definitely see 1 mythic of each color, the 5 swords, Sliver, Morophon, and maybe a land, with the final two scattered around. It doesn’t have to be evenly distributed.

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again"

While yes, they don't have to be evenly distributed, Wizards has more often than not tried to keep mythic rares evenly spread across all of the colors. Sets where there has been deviation from this have usually had either a thematic reason or a story reason (Hour of Devastation comes to mind here). In sets like this (supplemental/masters/core) the usual method for achieving this is giving each color at least two mono-mythics. I believe this is present in Modern Horizons as well, given how white already has had two revealed. With this logic, that means 10 mythic slots are spoken for. 3 of the remaining slots are taken by Morophon, First, and Mox.
Another argument against the swords being in the set is a distinct lack of equipment interactions. RW is the color combination most prone to using equipment and having equipment based abilities, and its draft archetype is Slivers, not equipment matters. If the swords were in the set Wizards would likely try to make equipment into one of the draft archetypes.
That said, Wizards can very easily break with convention and put them in. I'd like to see them, but I feel they are more likely to either be in the next set like this or in the inevitable return to New Phyrexia set. Would be an interesting take to make them Phyrexian style swords to counter the Mirrian styled.

Currently Playing:
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
... There is still room for:
- Angel/Archangel (something) spot 002
- Radiant (something) spot 020
- Selenia (something) spot from 210 to 214
Keeping my fingers crossed.
So, here's a list I made about the reprints we're getting and those we can't get anymore. I know some of these won't see the light of day by any mean (True-Name Nemesis, Wasteland ...) but I'm going purely with the Number Crunch approach. If it can fit, I listed it.
Obviously the list is FAR from exhaustive. But at least we can get an idea of what we can - and cannot- get in MH1.

As of today, the revealed reprints are all commons and uncommons, except Genesis, Flusterstorm and Altar of Dementia. Maybe we'll get some big splashy spoilers in the days to come.

Allied Swords looking very likely from the number crunch. 1 Mythic per color, 2 walkers, Mox, Morpheon, First Sliver. Looks good. Plus 7 Artifacts after SCRAPYARD in number crunch.
I certainly hope so because this is the most logical place to complete a 15-year mega cycle! One a week next week as our final 5 mythics (with Yawgmoth). I like it! Fingers crossed.

At this point, while they may fit crunch wise, they are almost assuredly out numbers wise. We have 10/15 mythic cards revealed, with black not having one at all. This means that, unless the the swords are downshifted (highly unlikely) or they steal slots from other rarities (slightly more likely than downshifting) the allied swords will not be here
EDIT:
I will be out of town for the holidays with very limited ability to update this page. Any cards that get revealed between now and when I am able to get back to my computer will get added then unless a mod adds them. To that end I request that you not point out cards missing from the list until some time late Sunday.
They've said there would be other "cycle extensions" besides the Canopy lands. While it may not be the swords, we haven't seen any hint of other cycle extensios so far.
But I agree they are either rare or not in the set. 2 mythics per color + 5 colorless/multicolor mythic seems to be the case here.
We already have two white mythics and two green mythics. I don't see how it would work unless they downshift and print the swords at rare.
Hmm yeah hadn't realized the two mythics today were both green. Either of which could have been at rare, also, but that's neither here nor there.
Downshifted to rares would be the best case! Not in the set would suck (for me). I guess there could be a whole lot of Thran artifacts in those SC-Z artifact slots? We'll see by next week...

Why Onslaught Cycle doesn't fit the crunch?
235/6/7 Barren Moor
239 Forgotten Cave
241 Lonely Sandbar
245 Secluded Steppe
248 Tranquil Thicket

If you have any idea about what could be in, let me know !
Doesn’t anybody ever read the reserve list?
null rod is banned from being reprinted
Also you forgot rhystic study is still in the crunch as well
I still would hope to see Riptide Laboratory which hasn't been ruled out.

Commander: WUBRG Superfriends, GW Rhys Tokens, WUBRG Scion of the Ur-Dragon
Kitchen Table (now that's real Magic): WUBRG Domain, GU Biovisionary, UB Korlash Grandeur, UW Merfolk Mill
A mono color legendary (unless have abilities otherwise)
So far it’s serra for white and urza for blue
I think we will end up with legends of the other ones
B will definatly be either gix or yawgmoth (maybe both since neither of the black mythics are shown yet)
R should be Jared Carthalion based on some cards
G the best I can think of for now is gaea if you have any other ideas let me know?
Green already got its two mythics. It has a rare legend, Ayula!
I expect every color to get a legendary creature, but rarity is not given.

Yea just realized that the bear deals with the green legend
And also Sisay 2.0 could be called the white one

and we know theres no way they will ever take away mythic slot in mono black and red
so were getting 3 at most
