Do we know First Sliver’s Chosen is White?
Considering what The First Sliver does,
I could totally see it being Blue with “Slivers you control have ‘UT: Return this creature to your hand.’”
I guess they could do that in White as well, if they wanted.
Nope, that is purely a guess that I made on page 8. It is based on the fact that slivers is the RW draft archetype and, with that in mind, put it in white since it did not fit in red.

I honestly think that, bypassing Standard, they can spare to finally make a general-purpose fixer better than that. I don't think a simple ETBtapped any-color-mana land would be too good for modern (I mean we already have ones for all ten color-trios and they don't get used...).
It would be too good for standard and the powerlevel of standard-set limited, so that's why they always go with Grotto variants or Rupture Spire variants. But the power level of modern, and the power level of this set, could accommodate a snow Rupture Spire without the pay-or-sac clause.
Aaand we got the last land. And it is an enhanced Shimmering Grotto. But it's not snow. Instead it's a Shimmering Grotto with a bonus "4 mana, tap, and sac: put two +1/+1 counters on a creature, activate only when could sorcery". At common.

First Sliver's Chosen is, in fact, white. 4W, 3/3, all slivers you control have Exalted.
Because nothing makes you play a go-wide tribe like telling you not to go wide.
Slivers was a ******* joke. Lancer Sliver costs 3 mana and gives your Slivers first strike. Are you serious? We already have a strictly better version of that, and at common! Snow was a ******* joke. We have very few actual playable cards. The only saving grace to Snow is we may be going to Kaldheim soon and we could see more actual playable Snow stuff. But Slivers was a major letdown to me. Honestly, the whole set was played super safe and I’m really disappointed.
Didn't understand really the lack of a Quirion Ranger type effect on the set. Slivers and snow have shown up to be mediocre, indeed. And the most important: too much EDH focused cards, honestly.

Those of Grixis colors have an eagerness to break the status quo and remake things in their own image. They disregard tradition and conventional approval, seeing them as unnecessary to achieve their goals, the well behaved rarely make history. Blue wants perfection. Black wants power. Red wants freedom.

yeah i also thought ranger was one of those slam dunk easy-includes right in the strike zone of empowering a modern deck without disrupting anything. could say that about a bunch of other cards as well, however its clear wizards had something else in mind that wasnt communicated very well when the set was announced/marketed.
