Men, the whole thing about what will happen with that strike of the black blade still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Soo much "muahaha i m a mastermind and predict every out come and make you fall for my fail safes muahaha" imo it would feel soo much more satisfying if he just had alot of aven eternals or minions to stop such type of attacks :\
Dude, this is literally Bolas's last go-round. Let him have his fun.
Twas not a black blade but a brother blade. Bolas, the all mighty dragon God could not sense or feel his all mighty powerful brother though because that would be detrimental to the story.
No. He doesn't sense Ugin because there's no reason why he should sense him. There's been this whole underlying set-up for Ugin keeping his presence secret from Bolas. As we glimpsed in Hour of Devastation, Ugin's return is foreshadowed to be an ultimate wrench in Bolas's plans, one huge thing Bolas didn't account for because he had no way of knowing. Ugin wiped himself from Jace's own memory to prevent Bolas from learning of his return.
If Bolas suddenly revealed now that he had foreseen Ugin's return and meddling all along, I would need one damn good explanation or I'd call BS and flip this and every other table in the room.
If you don't want to follow the story closely, that's totally fine, and your prerogative. But if you're going to snark about the lore, please make sure you've been paying adequate attention to the story first of all.
Trusted Pegasus - While Gids talking to the Pegasus Witcher 3 Ost (The Trail) start playing at back
God-Eternal oketra - Oketra starts charging it's bow and Aim for Gid, Witcher 3 Ost (The Trail) chorus
Divine Arrow - Arrow hits Pegasus, Music abruptly stop and enters slow mo while Gids is falling down
Unlikely Aid - Rakdos suddenly appears and catch Gids, Pirates of the Carribbean theme starts playing
So a Zombie God shoots the hero out of a stormy sky while he's riding a freaking pegasus, only for the hero's fall is broken by an ancient, evil demon lord who swoops in to deliver him to his tragic final showdown with a multiverse-conquering dragon-god.
Magic lore has officially peaked. Nothing will ever top this. This is so amazing and over-the top, it's borderline pornographic.

It paints such a metal picture of Gideon in this fight that I'm into him. Wait, wait....
BA-HAHAHAHA! Oh, Rakdos, the other paruns are never going to let you live this one down!
Rakdos: I really wanted that Bolas f***er dead, all right!? Mr. Big, Strong Hero just had to get swatted like a p***y-ass fly! At least that Liliana b***h got the job done. She should join my guild, that's where all the cool f***ers and b****es belong! Anyway, most of the other paruns are already dead, 'cause they're g******ed pansies! So there!
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
These 4 cards tell a better story than anything we've been subjected to over the last 4 years.
Truth! So many rambling, poorly written stories with the subtlety of a blow to the head, then a handful of cards come along with more resonance than any of them combined. Good stuff. The pegasus...the feels...the freshly pealed onions in the room...

This has all been set up.
I have followed the story. I'm not going to fanfare a really bad story because I love the card game. Cards are fantastic. Story telling is not. No big deal. No need to get upset by an opposing opinion.
Nicol Bolas was a fantastic villian, I hope we get another good one just like him so they can try again.

Rakdos, isn't that what you said to Myczil? And yet here you are.
I'll be surprised if more than 2 people know what I'm talking about.

The art on God-Eternal Oketra is sickning! It's going to look amazing as a foil.
