100$ of importation fees per kit + 40$ for shipping, thanks for trying WotC but it's still a no for EU :'(
Honestly, that's still probably going to be cheaper than buying them on the secondary market.
25 minutes later, and they're still up. I don't expect them to last much longer, but it's interesting to have a public count of how many units sold - should tell us how many units exist as well.
Surelly since the few that get their hands on it will have to get their invest back.
But in the end the product will cost more than the previous one that was sold through GP in Europe, while they tried to make it easier to get through the Ebay shop... Nice try, but it was a foul
I ended up picking these up as soon as they were listed and I am kind of surprised how many they still have listed. I too am watching to see how many they end up selling since I am curious on the final number. I wonder if the fact that these did not sell out almost immediately is more to the fact that they are less desirable (I really only want Karn, Dack Fayden and Tamiyo; though Domri seems like it could be good in the right deck) or because they are all listed here rather than being split out between the online store and in person at GPs. Probably a combination of both.
In any case, hopefully there are no major issues on the fulfillment side of these orders and they get them taken care correctly. It does suck that they did this to make them available internationally and then have a steep fee on top of the base price making it not much better than the secondary market for anyone not in the US.
Well, those aren't exactly selling like hot cakes. I guess the next one they will bring Ugin (the next in line before dipping into the real deal) because Dack Fayden isn't cutting it. Still it will sell out eventually.
The experience this time around was smooth, so this is definitively a positive. For completionists, I guess it's not that bad to have this not so sought-after selection of cards. The stress to get them is a good thing.
They relisted these so anyone who missed them the first time around can try again. I did see that the previous listing was removed (it seems that eBay removed it rather than Hasbro removing it) so I am not sure what happened. I have a tracking number for the previous listing, even though it does not show on FedEx yet, so I am hoping something hasn't gone wrong.
This one appears to be corrected with a limit of 2 per buyer. The first one allowed you to enter a quantity up to 18 even though the description said a limit of 2. I kept refreshing the sold list when it first went up and saw numerous people purchasing quantities of 4-5, and even saw one with 10 and another with 15. I'm curious if that's why it was taken down and replaced. I assume they'll refund those people who ordered more than two, so the actual number sold will probably be some hundred fewer than the recorded count.
Still available with 1282 sold. That plus 9339 is 10621. So if 15000 is accurate and they're all listed that's 4379 left. Maybe the first wave was 10K and the second is 5K.
the "chase" walkers here are $20, while Teferi and Lili are $50.
Not just that.
They look really bad (people mostly like tamiyo, but the rest is incredible bad artwork for the characters).
The walkers are either reprinted a bunch of times, not worth anything, not played in constructed formats and/or just mediocre like the new planeswalkers.
All of the points make this a terrifically bad product as it is.

Karn and Ajani should've been swapped with Teferi and Daretti. That would've evened out the value a bit, and made draft a little better.
I was surprised how unexcited I was about this product - obviously for a completionist like myself it's a necessary pickup, but none of the walkers make me excited to jam them in decks. The last one, Elspeth, Lili and Teferi went right into decks, and that was pretty cool. So yeah, they exist, but they aren't really lighting a fire under me. But honestly, this feels right to me. Most people who wanted them are getting them, and while they still exist, quantities are clearly limited. I'd still like to see a little more from this set - a couple packs of Ravnica sleeves and some spindowns, maybe a basic land pack, just enough so that it truly is a draft in a box - but they're pretty close.

Along with many mods, I've moved shop over to MTGNexus. Come check us out!
Flippers are starting to list under MSRP. People realized too late that this isn't like the first one. If you want one, keep your eyes out for deals.
If they plan to keep doing these they need way bigger hitters.

No this is perfect
The people who buy the product only to make a profit by selling them to the people who actually want the products should never be favored. They are the ones hurting the game and its player base.
The winners should always be:
1. Wizards of the Coast
2. The players of the game
Not the people who wish to make a profit but haven't contributed to the game (like Wizards have)

Yea, the product already lost all its steam right from the get go.
It will sell even worse the next time, as all the people that got burned wont buy it again.
They can never ever sell the numbers they did with the 1st and this product is doomed to fail hard unless they put in some serious bombs that justify the incredible high price tag.

Don't think they'll have Ultimate Mythic Edition for $1000 with JTMS, LotV, and OG Karn? lol
Never say never.

Speculation: Tezzeret, Deretti, and Dack all deal with artifacts (and Karn). Therefore, an artifact theme for either Grixis colors or the entire set, will be introduced in War of the Sparks (or whatever it’s going to be called).
(We can't have Garruk because of marketing reasons)
They can make Garruk whenever they want. Unfortunately, I think Garruk just fell into the pile of oblivion where one shot walkers and lower popularity ones are left floating around. The thing is Wizards is governed by a body of people who are only interested in maximum profits, so they are going to try to pain the brush as broadly as they can. A lot of the political stuff is really tied to this entire schism or idea of selling to the masses, and if a big group of potential customers are banging on their door saying they don't like something, the people up in the tower just tone things down so that they aren't drawing too much heat.
On the subject of Ravnica Masters 2, I'm just watching it sell like molasses. The stuff ain't going anywhere.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Pretty sure Garruk has nothing to do with politics or optics.
Also pretty sure this set was a flop from first spoil. The art is inferior to the last one, the walkers are inferior, and nobody is buying these for the expansion set.
Kind of makes one wonder, when you know someone designed this and chose these ones. Compare to Lily/Teferi? lol.
The politics were Garruk losing? Even though I hate Lili she should still rekt Garruk in a fight chain veil or no. He summons creatures she kills them and gets another zombie. Its a bad matchup for Garruk
Well... full-arts on the Wizards Tumblr at http://wizardsmagic.tumblr.com/post/182377357381/can-we-please-get-the-full-art-for-the-new make me think that actually some of these just don't work so well at card-size. Some of them are pretty good, and even ones like Sorin look much better when you can see all the detail. Kaya and Tamiyo arts are gorgeous; Jaya and Ajani pretty nice too.
They have already made $421,000 (not counting eBay/PayPal fees). Is that a success? I am not sure. It has definitely paid for the yearly salaries of a half dozen or more employees, which is quite nice, although in a company with 600+ Employees, that is probably not a gigantic success.

I think that when sales started slowing down, they pulled some for other purposes. Maybe special prizes, maybe just to increase scarcity.
I’ve never sold multiple copies of a single item on eBay like that.
Does anyone know if you can list a certain quantity of items and then de-list it at your discression?
Thread | Draft
You can add these sales to the unit count from the previous listing to get the total.
