Ok...these Simic cards are getting out of hand now. First, a creature right out of '97 with the same cardname and creature type line, now a Sharktocrab? What's next, Manbearpig???

Half man, half bear, half pig. That is the Raze Boar.
Shambleshark is back and the Simic made it even.... better? Who knew all it needed was some octopus spliced in there.
This seems really strong for limited. A 4/4 for 4, with strong upside.

Creature - Fish Octopus Crab 2GU: Adapt 1
When one or more +1/+1 counters are put on to ~, tap target creature an opponent controls. That creature doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.
I like it, but I really want to start seeing some stuff that moves around or removes counters now.
Well. We do have Shapers of Nature in Standard for a while for this. Plus, cards that simply add counters add fuel to the synergy-fire. Essence Capture not only counters a creature, it makes the sharktopus bigger, and it both taps and freezes another creature (or keeps an already tapped creature locked down an additional turn)? That seems sufficient to push through with this and other threats for lethal.
I do hope we see an in-block Shapers of Nature type card, such that the synergy remains after Ixalan rotates. Along with other counter moving/spending tricks. We do still have half the set yet to see. And a whole other Ravnica set after this to tie it all together, as well, in a few months.

That didn’t happen. The people who made a mock-up from translation but didn’t know the English card name called it Salamander Drake, but that’s not its actual name. We don’t know its actual name yet, but we know it starts with a P or a Q.

My wish for a Fish Octopus creature card called Sharktopus in MtG was almost granted. They probably went with Sharktocrab as a nod to all those B-movies from the Syfy channel. Really hoping they make a Sharknado card now!

Fish, calamari, and crab all at once. Add Clam and you have a complete seafood assortment.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

I think that'd be a joint project between Simic and Izzet.

I literally thought the same thing after seeing this! Bad enough I thought it said Sharknado when I first read it!
