It looks like Teysa has grown up a little since her previousinceptions. Love the artwork on her. Looks more...refined than emo.
Also less secksy. Tajic gets blinged up and Teysa drapes herself in repurposed window curtains. Figures.
Its fall on Ravnica, boob windows are chilly.
Didn't stop real world women in NYC from wearing keyhole sweater dresses a couple winters ago.
I hope she's the face card of the Guild Kit and has a more sexy art so that people who like sexy Teysa can have sexy Teysa and people who like covering up their girls can have the normal print.
Abzan or Mardu tokens will most likely be a thing with this card in standard.
There are still hordes of saprolings and even vampires waiting to be abused. Poison-Tip Archer and Slimefoot, the Stowaway are no joke when they start eating 2 life per trigger.

Good point. Besides, the last time we saw her was back in 2012 when the game still allowed Hero of Bladehold and Silverskin Armor. And to be fair, such exhibiton of the body could be viewed as a tad crass for a woman of Teysa's position within the Orzhov, whereas a slave or a Rakdos Cultist would more likely show off skin in such a manner.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I've never seen Silverskin Armor before, that art is gorgeous...
Terese Nielsen art. Can't get much better than that.
You know, I wonder: Did Nielsen choose to draw a Neurok girl in lingerie, or did the art director specifically ask for that? It's more justified in this case since the Neurok is clearly planning on covering herself in the armor, so she's simply in the middle of "dressing" herself rather than modeling for Spells Illustrated in the middle of battle (catch the Halloween Edition!), and therefore the fanservice doesn't come at the cost of practicality, for once.
Anyway, back to the moderately-dressed Teysa and her usual Spirit shenanigans.

Havent you misunderstodd the card? It says that triggers permanents on the BF. So it doesnt trigger twice the dying creature. So a Wurmcoil wouldnt put 4 tokens, but it would trigger a grave pact twice. Since the wurmcoil isnt a permanent anymore when it dies. Am I wrong?
The ability of Afterlife creatures, as well as Wurmcoil, trigger with the information of how they last existed in the battlefield - as permanents. Compare to Elenda, the Dusk Rose. Under your assumption, she could only ever trigger from the graveyard, where her power is 1. But in reality, she triggers as she moves to the graveyard, and the ability remembers her last state as she existed on the battlefield.

I am still not convinced that Elenda is better than Seraph of the Scales. With Elenda, you’re paying 4 for a 1/1 and need a sac outlet that most likely uses mana get the most value out of her. The Seraph seems like a more efficient threat on the board with a death trigger that is usually as good or better than Elenda’s

If your Elenda trigger is giving you less than Seraph's, you built your deck very wrong.

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

Right, but I think that it will be tough to build a deck that makes elendas trigger better most of the time. Especially without a free sac outlet

Random thought and still in need of a sac outlet but is Teysa enough to make Lich's Mastery worth considering? A few afterlife 2 creatures and you can soak up 4 points of damage worry free. The new Wrath seems to support this plan as well.

Ideally, completely free, but I doubt we'll be getting anything along those lines. Pontiff is better than temple probably, but I'm not sure if either are really good enough.

how free does the sac outlet have to be? is Temple of Aclazotz good enough, is Pitiless Pontiff either?
