Yeah you expect a flicker champ maybe something like Gideon.
Or something that locked down things that attempt to enter the battlefield that wasnt cast (there by stopping both Ghost Dads from flickering themselves to safety)... like, she is even small that she cant even survive an attack from Ghost Dad. How in any way did she manage to kill them -.-....

This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
Well I mean cards aren't linked to lore that much but I do agree.
I mean I guess the Exile ties into that but really I expected a card far more focused on dealing with creatures.
The simplest fix though is to just make her -1 a -X.
But yeah she doesn't do much. No Card Draw, No Mana Ramp, Bad Removal, No Protection.
Maybe Orzhov will get something that exiles the board or grave? So that its easier to finish with her ult.
They kind of are seeing as She is supposedly the one who kills Ghost Dad. But... nothing about this card signifies her ability to kill ghosts like.. at all. idk. From a flavor standpoint she just feels off.

Well, I certainly HOPE that she kills the Obzedat. Or at least intimidates them enough to break their power. Orzhov is my favorite guild, and the Obzedat are my least favorite aspect of the guild.
As far as Kaya's focus, it's clearly the exile zone. Both versions of her deal with it. And yeah, this form doesn't deal with the Obzedat exactly, but maybe that is to signal that the threat of force is often better than the use of force. (A very Bolas thing.)
Given that MaRo has just revealed that Kaya was created specifically for the Bolas storyline, I'm inclined to think that she does indeed kill the otherwise unkillable Obzedat. While this form may not emphasize that as much, we know for certain sure she is very good at killing ghosts. So yeah.

Exiling Creatures from the 'yard is 'killing the dead' if there isn't some creature token created. Which is on flavor with her abilities (a bit more than her initial card is). But her -1 and Ultimate only really tie in with the 'super dead matters' theme? So they do feel quite off.
I much rather would have gotten another Ghost Council card. Don't like her at all and what's worse is she is "leading" one of my favorite guilds now. The card itself is very weak.

She'll be in every EDH deck that can run her. Graveyard hate? You can always use some. Killing other people's fast mana (Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Moxen of all kinds), silly powerful undercosted enchantments and artifacts, stax pieces... And if you hit someone with Tormod's Crypt or Bojuka Bog or whatever then the ult can flat out kill them. And there's pretty much always reasons enough to run some form of mass graveyard hate in EDH anyway.
Speaking of which, she kills Chalice of the Void and possibly sticks around to kill other things, too. There may not be much for her to do in Standard, but there's plenty in other formats where she's at least fine sideboard material.
Seems pretty good to me.

She's like a fake ghost killer -- the type who put a stake through a corpse's heart and claims she killed a vampire or revenant or zombie.
It's so off; She kills things BEFORE they have the chance to become ghosts or zombies, but does jack ***** against actual ghosts or zombies.
Kaya's design seems like it's half of a game plan - she has interesting interactions with graveyards that can benefit you, but you'll have to fill them first. It's flavorful, if you think about it - she just sits back and lets us do all the hard work before casually coming in on the scene to clean up.
She works best in a heavy control deck, with Black kill spells and White exile effects. I actually kind of like her. At first glance she doesn't fit what we think of as a decent planeswalker, so people are more likely to leave her alone until it's too late - usually when you've got all your Luminous Bonds on the field.

LOL. not in any of mine. She can kill fast mana... slowly, which misses the point of killing fast mana. For repeatable graveyard hate, I'd rather use relic of progenitus, since it can't be attacked by creatures and burn spells.
If you've already got an exile based gameplan, maybe she can help and be a finisher. But she's far from an auto-include.
And she needs to survive for three turns, in colors that can't defend a planeswalker from instants or sorceries, to be able to ult.
Add blue, and it's likely far easier to simply mill them to death than having Kaya ult -- and Teferi is also psuedo-3-mana.
In a dysfunctional professional relationships-deck, she can be a win condition after you've already "won" with Teferi ultimate and chaining turns, functioning as the corporate management that gets the credit for the team's success.
Yes she is just that bad. TO make matters worse she is so bad that people would probably play the plains walker deck version of her if they had mad one.
Their will be no random copy-cat fiasco this time to make this card go from trash to treasure.
Removing one mana cards and graveyards alike makes this for a good SB option in Eternal formats. Her fringeness mostly has to do with her being multicolored, which limits what decks can play her.

Um.. no... she is HORRID for eternal because she is just too slow... she can remove.. what. 1 thing a turn? Affinity can play around that easy.
Or she can remove 2 cards? The only deck that cares about that is Reanimator.. and they can play around that by using Entomb and Reanimate on the same turn and punish you for playing a do nothing PW with RusselBrand

If they ever printed the opposite of threshold.
The problem? I see you're running rest in peace= no targets. X solves it? Bull*****, she's a 3 mana walker.
She's also quite good against aggro decks. Not sure if she kills a transformer like thing in the ice?
No transform cards have the manacost of the front now.

SO if you really need so graveyard hate and you can't get a Remorseful cleric, Sentinel Totem, Ashes of the Abhorrent, Deathgorge Scavenger, Deadeye Tracker, or Silent Gravestone then I think she could be great standard sideboard card.
