Creature - Mutant
Activated abilities of creatures you control cost up to 2 less to activate. This effect can't reduce the amount of mana ab ability costs to activate to less than one mana.
T: The next time a creature you control activates Adapt this turn, it uses Adapt as if it has no +1/+1 counters.

To be fair, the original text doesn't specify the controller. "T: The next time target creature activates Adapt this turn, it uses Adapt as if it has no +1/+1 counters."
Adapt is going to be similar to Surveil. Everyone will call it boring at first and ask for payoffs, but then it will turn out to be the one mechanic of the set that's got some extra support behind it and it will actually turn out decent.
I love the look of this guy. The Simic creatures from RTR were a little too far on the "goofy" side for me. If you're doing biomancy, you're bound to create some creepy stuff as well.
Great ability too. One of my deck types in EDH has been "activated ability tribal". This thing is perfect for Kraj or similarly oriented GUx commanders.
More training ground abilities are welcome and really really enables adapt.

Thinking on it this card is really good for adapt. He lets you basally pay for itself when it comes down and keep tempo using adapt that turn, then next turn it lets you adapt again. Really nice tempo.

Sooooo... two of these plus Slimefoot = infinite saprolings? I mean, it is a three card combo that folds to mass removal, but if an Adapt deck does emerge in Standard, splashing black for Slimefoot seems like a no brainer. Since nothing requires haste, you can even do it for 7 mana against a tapped out opponents (I know, I know, unlikely, but against the current Golgari Midrange, not unreasonable).
EDIT: I guess the translation means that no ability can cost less than 1 mana? It makes it sound as though mana abilities can't be reduced to 0 - which would make sense to prevent infinite mana combos.

It will make expensive Adapt abilities cheaper later in the game if it hangs around, though.

Agreed, but then I remembered I converted Mairsil into Experiment Kraj, and I got super happy.
