I would have put this in one of the UMA threads but they both got locked for off topic bickering... leaving no place to ask on topic questions about the set?
Usually a set that has 53 rares and 15 mythics has two 'ratios' preserved:
1 pack out of every ~8 has a mythic (for most normal large sets and all past Masters sets, 15 out of 121 = 1 in 8.07)
and
Each individual mythic has exactly half as many instances in circulation as each individual rare
So once we found out UMA had 20 mythics but still just 53 rares... which one of these ratios was abandoned?
Is each mythic still half as circulated as each rare (thus making each mythic 1/126 but the odds of a mythic in pack would then become 20/126 = 1 in 6.3 ?)
Or did they preserve the 1/8 mythic ideal and as a result each individual mythic is actually less than half as frequent as each individual rare?
Has anyone seen the rare/mythic print sheet(s) to get insight into how they balanced rares against mythics in this set?

Whatever they did, it's highly unlikely they have used a print sheet size different than 121, so the 20/126 ratio-idea seems like it should be right out. Maybe five of the rares are actually secretly just as rare as the mythics with only a single instance per print sheet - assuming your numbers on rares and mythics in UMA are right - I haven't actually double-checked.

I'm not suspecting they had a different than 121 size sheet, but they clearly have the means to rejig things a little in collation (like how they integrated Bolas as a bonus mythic in M19 without using a 122-card sheet, or how they integrated the extra ten flip-rares in Ixalan without using a 141-card sheet). They seemingly can print extra cards on a separate sheet and then collate them in at their expected ratio - so I would guess they used one 'normal' 15M+2x53R rare sheet and printed a slew of sheets of the other five mythics separately and collated them in at their intended ratio. But that once again brings back my question: is their intended ratio "One mythic per eight packs" or "one instance of any given mythic for every two instances of any given rare"? Early answerers on reddit seem to think the former.
Yeah, their Dominaria 'legendary in every pack' guarantee showed some interesting collation logic as well.
In any case, a lot of Reddit response seems to be strongly favouring "they kept the 1:8 mythic:pack ratio not the 1:2 mythic:rare circulation ratio" ... enough people mass opened boxes to see that the ratio was very close to 1 in 8. which is a departure from what they did in Ixalan (when they added ten extra rares but no extra mythics they preserved the 1:2 Mythic:Rare circulation ratio, resulting in a 1:9.4 pack ratio.
If so, that means that there are more than twice as many instances of each rare in circulation than there are of each mythic. In, say, M25, for every 800 Blood Moons (a rare) 'in the wild', there are 400 Jace (a mythic). For UMA, for every 800 Celestial Colonnades in the wild, there are actually only 300 Cavern of Souls.
Hm, I wonder if they did it with four different rare sheets. Each one with the same rares, but with a varying 15-of-the-20 mythics (thus each mythic appearing on three out of every four rare sheets and absent from the other).
I am actually a little worried now, because I have been doing a few tests, and have opened a couple cases already. And I am starting to see a very similar pattern of the Mythic Rare slow positioning. They seem to have it calculated to have exactly 8 packs in between Mythics. So, a lot of boxes I am seeing something like the first one in the 1st far left row will be 3 packs down. Then, if you count the remaining 5 packs in the row down, then jump to the middle row, the new mythic was 4 packs down, and 5 packs down in the furthest right row...So, it seems to be the 9th pack, or always having 8 packs in between them. I really don't like this, because it always guarantees you are only getting 3 mythics per box, and never seem to have the variation for 4 or 5, unless they are a foil. I would LOVE to get proof of someone ever opening a 5 Mythic box, all 5 non-foils, not including the topper obviously. This has me worried for box mapping. Fortunately, the rares and other random foils can be worth the venture to just open the rest of the box anyways, just sharing my experiences and thoughts...

If true this will be very easy to map. Basically making buying loose packs the worst gamble since the see through wrappers.

Small sample size, but this is likely just a coincidence for you. I can say that the very first pack in the left column was a mythic in my box. Packs are also prone to shifting in transit.
