Not bad. Starts off a little small but it wouldn't be difficult to get it to 3/3 or even 4/4 before it manages to be killed or trade in combat. It will have done its job by then, though, so that isn't a problem.
Well, it's a clear signpost... That's for sure. There's a slim chance it goes in Standard as the new cheap beater of choice but probably requires too much set-up
Honestly, this and Thoughtbound Phantasm could make surveil beats a real thing in standard, at least as an FNM strategy which is all I really care about tbh.
Damn they keep giving Dimir so much good stuff this set.

and that is one of two surveil related cards we were needing, now Surveil is looking better than before, such a nice card this bug is, two evasion on one bug.
More than a bit parasitic, since if you don't surveil, it's just a multicolor Bog Imp, which was never a good card, but there are a lot of good surveil cards.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

This has Menace too. I mean not that you'd run it without surveil anyway, but it's a tangible difference from just Bog Imp.
Heck, throw Jace, Cunning Castaway and Favorable Winds into the mix, along with a few draw cantrips and a few counterspell/kill spells and you've got yourself a pretty powerful deck with evasion and beatdowns.
