Bounty Agent1W Creature — Human Soldier {R}
Vigilance t, Sacrifice Bounty Agent: Destroy target legendary permanent that's an artifact, creature, or enchantment. "Lately I have seen the biggest bounties in my career—and for the biggest names."
2/2
I think this'll see EDH play only. It has to include planeswalkers or lands if you want it played anywhere else. I do like this mechanic they're doing with Vigilance and tap effects. Vona, Butcher of Magan made me like that type of interaction.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
The only reason would be so that you can target a PW or land and then make it an applicable type? I mean, this looks like a similar wording to the White Black lord thing from Eventide...
Basically, the targeting requirement is different from the effect requirement... but why that that was felt necessary is indeed quite cryptic... I guess so that you can sacrifice it whenever you want? For Undergrowth effects?
It feels like they're really setting up for a forthcoming enchantment theme again from the cards we've seen so far. It's powerful on its own especially with it being pretty much right next to Dominaria. I will call it the Dominarian Antithesis.

I don't understand why it isn't formatted as "Destroy target Legendary artifact, creature or enchantment."?
Obviously a pretty sweet card, though.
Well I would say they avoided your wording because it can be ambiguous on what it hits. With your wording it could be easily read as it hitting "legendary artifacts", but ANY "creature" or "enchantment". So the added wording allows it to be very clear that it only destroys legendary things.
This wording is awkward. Would it be too good to hit legendary lands & planeswalkers?
Bounty agent killing a land? Flavor Fail. Also, I really expected this to be Dimir. Never really thought of bounty hunters as virtuous and/or team-oriented
A white bounty hunter? I mean, Haazda Snare Squad indicates that yes, white bounty hunters do exist on Ravnica, but the idea of hunting down a target for money sounds more like a black thing.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Meh outside commander. Ooops sorry, it's a nice curve filler in draft. I guess at the pre-release almost everyone will have a legendary of some sort.
In draft a bear with upside is still a bear with upside. It isn't exciting, but it goes in and stands up which makes Boros happy (especially if you can keep mentoring it up).
Not that great because Alesha brings it back tapped, so you'd have to both untap it and give it haste in order to use its ability immediately, unlike, say, Necrotic Sliver. It's only likely to be profitable if you're attacking someone who doesn't have any creatures.
What kinda bounty hunter can't stay alive to collect their bounty?
That is something I question about the flavor. It seems like they're sacrificing themselves to take down a big bounty, but that's not the way that usually works.
The card has to be worded that way because of On Serra's Wings and In Bolas's Clutches, which can give a creature (or artifact or enchantment if the latter is used) the legendary supertype. That is a very narrow use, though, and is really more of a check against game-winning creatures like Ghalta.
A white bounty hunter? I mean, Haazda Snare Squad indicates that yes, white bounty hunters do exist on Ravnica, but the idea of hunting down a target for money sounds more like a black thing.
They may be bounty hunters, but the money doesn't have to be their primary motivation. Just look at the flavor text on the card you mention - "anything to keep their district safe." If safety and order are their main motivation, the money is just a way to earn a living and support their choice; not everyone starts out a billionaire like Batman.
I don't understand why it isn't formatted as "Destroy target Legendary artifact, creature or enchantment."?
Obviously a pretty sweet card, though.
Just to be explicitly clear that you can only destroy legendary creatures, legendary artifacts, or legendary enchantments, all without actually spelling out the word "legendary" three times. It helps clarify that this doesn't let you destroy any legendary artifact, any creature, or any enchantment, as might be interpreted by your wording.

Bounty's are part of law enforcement though as well.
