The artwork is the best of the three interpretations of these lands to date. Temple Garden is going foil right into my Asmira EDH deck.

Nothing beats OG Rob Alexander shocks, especially for Stomping Ground, Overgrown Tomb, and Temple Garden. Buy I think I like these better than the last round, and even if I don't, I love that they were reprinted with new art.
If you're against shockland reprints, I don't know what to tell you. I'm so glad they did it.

Watch, this set will sell like hotcakes, and then that is that for shocks. The prices haven't moved in years, still a huge supply, we haven't absorbed RtR. Now in 6 years when they go back again, it won't be worth it to print these. They are done being worth a pack.
Good, dumpster the price on the things, Mana Bases have gotten out of hand in terms of price.
Interesting that their set numbers put them at the very end of the set, a spot usually occupied by basic lands. Also, it's worth mentioning that there are two spots open between Overgrown Tomb and Temple Garden, since the other three cards are alphabetically after the latter. Are basic lands being moved "outside" the set's base card count?
Actually... with the weird numbering scheme that just piles dozens of cards on top of the total number. Why not? Why stop there? Just move basic lands to nonnumbers. Forests can be tree/259. Doesn't matter to WotC anymore, right?
I agree. The current numbering scheme WotC uses is complete garbage. If they wanted to show cards outside of the Standard set there are a myriad of ways they could do it. Such as X/256+20 to show there are 20 cards outside of main. Or they can do X*/276 to show those are from outside of boosters for example.
But this whole 266/256 junk? Lame. It just makes it harder to keep track what belongs it what. I would just as soon go back to having no numbers at all and using Scry to figure out how many cards are in a set.
I'm glad to see these back, as I don't have playsets of any of these. However, with Standard demand plus multi-format use, I suspect prices will probably stay around $10. I would be amazed if they dropped as low as $5-$6, like the Battlebond dual lands.

Exactly what they needed to be. Sorry, I got no sympathy for people who want prices on a heavily played modern version of original dual lands to be 10+ dollars. The price of the green and red one was edging towards 20 dollars just from popularity alone. I'm just hoping they can do this for both the Shocklands and the fetchlands, because the fetchlands are far worse for people playing non-rotating formats right now.

I would be shocked if they weren't in and I'm glad that they are. People complaining about shockland reprints just goes to show that some people will complain no matter what.
The worst part about this is that Standard might become a soup of three color goodstuff decks.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Happy to see them back. Happy to open them in every draft. Happy that their price will come down. Happy that the single most needed card type gets more affordable. Happy that they didn't get """creative""". (Yes, that required triple quotes as making yet a new crappy dual land that is required to play standard yet has no life outside of standard is, in reality, the lazy, cash grabbing road.)
Good in standard, modern, and commander with new art and new flavor text, yet some people prove again that people will complain about anything. If it makes shocks more affordable, that’s a good thing, and if the price increases that means we’re getting value in GRN, which is also a good thing. The price will probably drop, but they’ll still have value.

Figured they would come back and I'm glad they did. Can get the last 2 Sacred Foundry I need now for a decent price.
Speaking of prices they will drop a bit, but they aren't going to drop that much for most of the reasons mentioned earlier in the thread. These are a welcome edition and if it drops the price back down to the 8 to 10 dollar range again, I'll be thrilled.

Long live shocklands in Ravnica sets.
I mean I’m happy they’re back too for various reasons. Happy to open them in every draft? Isn’t one of them. I’m not particularly happy when I have to made a decision at draft time ‘keep a pick-one card even though it will have little to no benefit to tonight’s draft deck, or pass it to have a stronger deck tonight despite still likely coming away with less value for having passed it.’
Shocks are excellent for a multitude of reasons. But for me their impact on draft lands in the ‘necessary evil’ column and not an actual positive.
I nearly have my entire foil play set of all the original Shocklands, nearly have as many foil Ravnica 2.0 Shocklands as I want, I’m totally fine getting a fourth art series of them. Makes me excited what kind of casual brew I can create after what comes after Ravnica Allegiance.
Lets hope we get the other cycle out in the next set since they skipped it last time so they could put them in MM.
Well of course they will. This set has five of the ten guilds in it and has the corresponding shocks for those five. The next set has the other five guilds - of course they’ll have the other five shocks.
Fetches was a bit of a different situation - they were never associated to specific planes or set-color-pairing breakdowns. There was really no precedent to believe Tarkir would have all ten fetches. Both past visits to Ravnica had the shocks with their guilds.
The only thing that disappoints me is that Sacred Foundry seems to be the only one including their guild mark.
Haters gonna hate. For reals. Hard to support a multi-color block without good multi-color lands for fixing. Shocks are some of the best, if not the best in modern magic at doing just that. You don’t want to get “creative” and screw up a beloved plane because the mana-fixing was sub-par.
Also, there should be no reason that shocks are prohibitively priced for anybody. They carry Modern for the most part, and are easily the best lands available outside of ABUR for EDH.
I love the art on all of them. Honestly, having these re-enter the Standard card pool makes me want to play Standard again. Stable mana-bases are the backbone of every deck, I have a play set of most of these already. Having to pick up a few playsets of other cards makes this Standard much more lucrative.
I’m glad they are being reprinted since it makes my decks cheaper. It’s a shame I already have my rtr shocks for modern, but I may have to buy breeding Pool next set depending on art. This was one of the things I was somewhat worried about, buying shocks. It was a question of do I wait to see if they get reprinted and drop, or if they don’t get reprinted and see them go up a little more due to lack of supply. I’ve seen it where we were expecting some reprint and didn’t get it, so they hiked in price

I assume they put these in as EXTRA cards like they did in M19 with the land , it might simply replace the basic land and give you a shiny dual land instead.
If they do that, i am full on board, thats the best solution ever for rare lands.

If they make them just regular rares, screw you WotC ... (still better value than almost anything else)
I was one of the few that thought these wouldn't be in here, as they've been stingy with lands for a while, but I am SUPER glad they are. Currently they are between $8-$16 and with this set not only having these but also Masterpieces I wouldn't be surprised to see these in the $5-$10 range, if not a little less for maybe one or two of them. These are going to be opened up like crazy between those MP hunting, Shock hunting, and drafting.
I personally hope these go down to $3-$8 because then they could be cheap enough to include in supplementary products like Commander, various Duel Deck esque like product (like the new Guild Decks), Challenger Decks, and others without someone going "It would be too expensive, people will just pick them up and there won't be any for others", or some other nonsense like that.
