It's not hard to get a screenshot of an article that says whatever you want. You wouldn't even need to get the font wrong since you can directly use the original font in whatever fake article you are creating, so unless the fake was made by someone who has really no idea what they are doing, the difference in font is probably more due to some weirdness between different computers that wouldn't depict the title font correctly no matter the article.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Let's be honest. I sincerely respect every single member of the Magic community for what it adds to the experience of anyone else, but if some private player "invests" in colored pieces of a card game instead of putting their money in something really worthy, that's not Hasbro's fault.
On the other hand, I don't think seeing for example ABUR duals drop would be a problem at all for big retailers, because it would also drastically increaae the demand for such eternal staples, and probably even increase the price of other cards as well.
I'm only pointing out what I think the legal difficulty would be for Wizards.
If all of the following circumstances are true:
1) Investor only purchased items because Reserved List acted as "safety net".
2) Reserved list is violated in any sense.
3) Investor can reasonably link violation of reserved list to reduced value of purchased items below what was paid.
4) Investor attempts to leave the game and sells item for this reduced price.
Than the Investor can sue for (Price items were purchased for - price items were sold for).
Note that this excludes Eternal players who feel salty over "wasting money" but don't sell their cards.
The only big question is how many investors will actively leave the game and try to sell everything off the moment that the list is violated in any sense. As I said, any real violation by Wizards will probably come with article after article of caveats trying to assure investors that printing thunder spirit in a set with less than 1:1000 odds doesn't mean that they are crazy enough to ever reprint Mox Jet in a $90 From the Vaults set. I personally expect that cards in the $200-300 range (including dual lands) will also have to be included in a new "implicit reserved list" in order to appease investors. If not, Wizards GREATLY increases the number of players/investors who could potentially jump ship, increasing the odds of a panic in the process.
Of course, there is the "problem" of those $200-400 cards being REALLY GOOD in most cases. Even if a bunch of people freak out over a Thunder Spirit reprint and sell their Duals for peanuts, all of those cards will bought either by sellers refusing to lower their price and waiting for the panic to pass (price stays the same or slight increase) or by players who don't want to sell them in the near future (price stays the same or slight increase). By the time any cases would reach a court room, there is a very high chance that the cost of such cards would have recovered.
With that said, the recovered price doesn't necessarily mean that they will lose (again, the actual values at which the items were bought and sold [and whether that selling price was consistent with its value at that time] really matter) even if it makes them look foolish. Further, legal fees and bad press are real factors to consider... if there are enough of these twitchy investors. Without a critical mass of these investors hoping to "flee a sinking ship", the actual value of the cards won't noticeably depreciate and there will be no lawsuits.
IF...and I mean a huge if this is real, I think it would be a clear sign that WotC is desperate for increased sealed product sales. If they really wanted to walk the fine line on the RL, the Masterpiece route seems like a logical tactic to keep the numbers low and not tank all RL cards. I'm sure certain larger collectors will file suit, but Hasbro has the resources to take it to court. Maro admitted on Blogatog that Imperial Recruiter was mythic because of scarcity, so with that logic RL cards should be super mythic aka Masterpieces. What was the pull rate in the past, 1-2 per case? They could honestly put a single cycle per set and sales would go through the roof. I don't think the highly sought after ABU cards would take a big hit, but I still think the original printings will always have a higher value for collectability. The secondary market/collectors will determine what that value is.
Yeah, the fact that Masterpieces is easily the most logical route for WotC to break the RL *if* they would do so is what makes this fake so enticing. Well done, trolls. Good game. Still not going to happen, not even close. Don't be fooled by this.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
I actually believe this is happening, as the Team PT and the recent bans has me believing Wizards is contemplating re-investing in Legacy as a format. The recent price increases are quickly making Legacy un-affordable to the point of being downright exclusionary. I think this update to the Reserve List is a way to get more product out there without completely tanking prices instantly. If true, I'm expecting something like 5 dual lands and maybe one more Reserve List card to appear as Masterpieces in the Fall set, and not much more.

There is no incentive to make Legacy affordable. Legacy and Vintage are largely becoming online formats, where there are no restrictions, and they can lower the barrier to entry without pissing off a lot of people.
Just to get my two cents in, they already closed the foil printing loophole, so suddenly printing foil reserved list cards as a "Masterpiece" foil would betray that, and people should and would threaten suits.
Best solution for them is either send all vintage/legacy online only, or remove the reserved list from gameplay completely. Don't think they can do either without massive backlash though.

The incentive would be featuring them more prominently at Pro Tours and more regularly at GPs. Legacy is a viable means for Wizards to make money and expand viewership of the game. Whether they see it as such is another matter entirely, but saying there's no incentive is just wrong.
This is pretty clearly fake. I'm not saying that it would be impossible for them to abolish the RL, but I think that if they do there will be a very lengthy post explaining it as well as probably having some sort of additional dialogue as for their reprint plans.
Something like this would never happen in a single abrupt paragraph.
If a person needs powerful cards on reserve list to compete in his/her playgroup, then I'd recommend that person consider switching playgroup first before consider buying expensive cards. You don't need overpower cards to play the game, and even if you did win, how satisfying would it be beating your opponents by spending thousands $ extra?
If you have a dual land, good, use it. If you don't, that's ok too, you don't need it. The price of those cards would eventually go down when the demands go down, all this hype only serve to encourage indecent buyers to buy out every chance they got.

This is an interesting part of multiplayer Magic to me. There's this inherent balancing factor, where if your card quality sucks and you lag behind in a game, you're targeted less and you get time to build up and do something. It's the people that present the biggest threat that die the fastest.
I understand some EDH players want to get powerful cards for dirt cheap, but this constant ranting on reserve list is getting tiresome, and faking an article to express dismay is childish.
What's tiresome about wanting to be able to play the game in a fair way rather than playing within a class system?
FAKE!!!! There’s no way wizards would ever touch or even reprint reserved lists or the included power 9 cards within it...even in Masterpiece sets. It’s considered overpowered for them. Also what would make Ravinca 3 any special for a reserved list reprint? None of it make sense! Fake news!
