Ever-Watching Threshold2U Enchantment {R}
Whenever an opponent attacks you and/or a planeswalker you control with one or more creatures, you draw a card. "You think they know we're here?"
—Orlo, goblin raider
So... this is the fourth NEW source of repeatable card draw for the bant deck... and two more (eidolon and presence) are definitely being reprinted... and we might even see verduran or mesa enchantress as well.
The "Adaptive" in the deck name means that the player draws so many cards that they have so many options for any scenario. You can't be adaptive without options.
This feels like the simplest card ever printed. Is it a functional reprint? How has this card not existed before??
Seriously, this. How can we have a million and a half Propaganda variants, but never see a single card like this until now?
Don't get me wrong, this is a welcome card indeed, but that name, though. I thought it was a clumsy translation when I saw the thread title.
There have been several instant versions of this card (I recall one with a Cephalid on it?), but no, no Enchantments. Which is amusing, since I don't think we have a single Instant Propaganda effect, do we?
Edit: By the last, I mean 'pay to play', not outright stopping attacking...
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I think BANTCHANTRESS is good on card draw now how about some recursion and protection for your enchantments getting wiped and some wincons? The restocking is more then taken care of at this point.
Oh man. This card. This feels like a game changer.
I don't think Ever-Watching Threshold will be as good as Rhystic Study, but it strongly suggests it might. Like Propaganda, this card universally shuts out small and medium sized creatures. Now, it's obviously a bit different than that. If your life total is low enough, or if their army is large enough, Ever-Watching Threshold won't save you where a Propaganda effect might have. On the other hand though, drawing cards is way sweeter than taxing your opponents. And there's even the whole quid pro quo thing going on where opponents might just attack you because they want you to draw cards, possibly in exchange for political favors.
I guess I'm just shocked this was printed for three mana. Coupled with something like Maze of Ith, Ever-Watching Threshold seems really difficult to get through. And alpha-striking into it only to have your opponent draw into a Fog or something seems especially heinous.
EDIT: Man, I really need to RTFC. I thought this thing drew cards for each attacking creature, not just one.
Really the Bant deck more than "Adaptive Enchantment" should've had be called "Adaptive Card Advantage." Main subtheme of the deck is really just simple card draw.
I guess they really wanted to showcase the "Enchantress" thing with this deck. I can't complain. Enchantments always felt like clunky artifacts because they're far less supported imo.
I would like to see some Enchantment reanimation next!
Well, this specific deck may not need this, but I have at least four decks what would be happy to have one of these. My playgroup skews more political and this sort of card really tests folks. If you can manipulate the political context of the board and the boardstate, you can trick less savvy players into giving you cards while nullifying their attacks with instant-speed answers and you can bluff with more shrewd opponents into dissuading attacks and giving you space. I think the value here is contextual because technically the opponent chooses which benefit (not being attacked or a free card) you get, so you have to ensure that they do what you need more or that either result is good regardless.
It's a pretty good card that can be exploited with the right decks and right players.

So they HAVE printed something like this, just as an overcosted multicolored flyer. Got it.
As someone who runs Isperia as a Commander, I wouldn't call it overcosted, considering it does trigger off every attacker instead of "one or more" and a 6/4 flier is worth 2CC mana (and that might be undercosting it even). Sure, it's vulnerable but that just makes it the deck's duty to protect since I built around it, and not a reason to say it's worth for less mana instead.
Highly-Costed is something that cannot be denied, but it's definitely not overcosted.
All that being said, this effect is not really that necessary in redundancy (plus it's also inferior), especially when the likes of Rhystic Study exists (thank goodness there isn't a Legendary-Study-On-a-Stick, that's power the format doesn't need).

This deck is going to be consistent as hell!
At this rate they'll need to reveal Laboratory Maniac just so people won't worry that they'll mill themselves with that deck.

Like an enchantress deck doesn't have enough draw already.
As for the card, looks like a solid card that can go in nearly any blue deck. I like.

Trap your friends in an endless game with this 23-card combo!
This card is nice though, but it's just one card, not one per attacking creature.
