Oh man, there's some sauciness to this. My Jhoira of the Ghitu chaos deck sees her getting targeted quite a bit. Joke's on you when I drop three more copies of Timesifter into play and cackle like a madman.
Major memory issues with this card. Surprised this was printed.
It's not that bad. Most Commander games pretty much require each player to keep track of how many times they've cast their commander from the command zone (since some abilities and the commander tax rely on that). If you're already doing that, figuring out how many "commanderstorm" copies you get when you cast this is fairly easy.

Memory issues? You don't mark down how many times you've cast your commander(s)? My tiny group tend to just put a die on the command zone and tick it up when we cast it.
Pretty sure he means a card that creates multiple copies of any artifact(s). If you don't just mass produce one artifact, you need to keep track of which token is which artifact.

That's why I took Mirrorworks and similar effects (except Mechanized Production) out of my deck. It became a major issue. That said, I really like this card and may give it a shot if I can find just one artifact often enough to copy with it several times. Will probably just use it on my own to get more, making it easier. I like this card.

Not really. Basically, you have to pay 2 for each previous time a Commander was cast. Though it does mean that Derevi, Empyrial Tactician players will have to probably skip it, since you typically only actually cast her once.
The other issue is clones, but you can just use index cards or something like that.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

I still don't get it. I've used Mirrorworks and had many copies of various cards and those were quite simple to keep track of even only with dice at disposal for bookkeeping.
I totally understand the confusion. Say you copy a bunch of mana artifacts but only have dice to tell you have 2 of each. How do you delineate which are tapped? Especially if there are a bunch of copy/token effects in this deck, which it seems there are, this seems like a compounding issue, especially for a precon.

This is no different than decks that use lots of creature tokens.

I wonder if R&D has a super-secret-rare edition of the card with the flavor text: "We need a name for this card."
"Just take two abilities we won't use again and put them together!"
"Banding Dredge?"
"Try again!"
"Chroma Phasing?"
"We just used Phasing in last year's set!"
On the actual card itself, quite the meh to me. I don't see artifact decks rushing to re-cast their commander just for this. Thank goodness Derevi doesn't actually cast for 0.
So, for Partner commanders does this count both of them?
E.g. I cast Silas Renn, Seeker Adept twice and Akiri, Line-Slinger twice. Would I then be able to play Echo Storm for 5 copies?
702.123e If an effect refers to your commander while you have two commanders, it refers to either one. If an effect causes you to perform an action on your commander and it could affect both, you choose which it refers to at the time the effect is applied.
I found the answer, it would just be the greater of the 2... so if it's 3 on one and 2 on the other it would be 3.

Actually, I kind of like the "commanderstorm" design they have going here.

And I like the Mark Poole art, glad he still gets occasional work from WotC.
