Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Matter to competitive players, maybe. For me, it's more a matter of set cards tend to be more exciting than their PW counterparts, so I want them to have a better name to match. See Chandra, Torch of Defiance vs. Chandra, Pyrogenius. While we're at it, make sure the set card has better art, too.
So, would a team of Tezzeret and Liliana be called Death Metal?

I'll say it again, if they hacked 1 cmc off the casting cost of this Lily, I think it would fit much better and garner less CRITICISM. I wouldn't have said a peep at 2BB.

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
So is Liliana's Spoils the tutor card from the planeswalker deck? If so it is the only one so far that has not directly searched for the planeswalker from the library or the grave. I really liked those cards, maybe there will still be some in the other decks.

You are right. So this should be more like Demon of Catastrophes? A rare from the Core Set proper that also has a copy in the planeswalker deck.
Makes more sense. The PW deck exclusive rares also containing the planeswalker's name - I just missed the Gatebreaker while looking at the decklists and jumped to the wrong conclusion.
It definitely sounds like cool cardname - worthy of a scheme card or something.

Are all these starter deck cards in the Coreset as well? If so pendulum of patterns would technically be reprinted in the Coreset as well as palakka wurm for the Vivien deck. I’ve already added pelakka wurm to the crunch (it fits perfectly) but I haven’t done so with the pendulum.

It's possible. In a fight between the pair of them, Liliana definitely has the upper hand - Vraska's abilities take time to prepare, whereas Lili can just whistle fighters out of the ground. However, we don't know what leading the Golgari will do the Vraska as a character or a fighter. She might be able to pull some nifty green shenanigans and obliterate the Chain Veil to pieces.
Anyway, I do like that they're expanding zombies to include other relatively underused races.

She's a bit lacking in flash moves, that's true. She's an assassin, which means she's intelligent, patient, stealthy. She's also shown the Green association for community - whether it's pirates or other assassins, she doesn't have to work very hard to be at home among others.
It would be nice if the assassin side was played up a bit somehow.
