1. The wurm "turns on" Rhonas to let him attack.
2. Rhonas kills the wurm on its own (and draws you 6 cards) due to deathtouch
3. Rhonas survives the process due to indestructible.
Very interesting card. I am trying to wonder if it's better to make it harder for your opponent to fight it by giving it indestructible or effects that support fighting like Foe-Razer Regent or just allowing your opponents to fight it and getting rid of their creatures.

In commander you can always just include the Fight support cards and make those decisions turn by turn. For G to play a 3GG commander many times in a game should be almost trivial.
This card wants me to put together a mono green fight tribal deck full of huge bruisers and Foe-Razer Regent, but there are enough other abilities that are triggered off of fight. I guess some enrage triggers, but I feel like we need a bigger pay off with "whenever a creature you control fights..."
It's a may ability, so this dude is totally broken. You can have only your team draw cards when needed. And not just a few cards. Tons. And holy Jesus, 10/8?
EDIT: Bzzzt! The ability is on the attacking creature, so the attacker chooses to fight or not. Not as broken as I thought. In fact, it's super dangerous to play.
The idea is either to deal damage to it yourself to reap the benefits or to strategically protect it. If your opponent starts throwing creatures at it, you can pump/prevent damage/grant indestructible/regenerate it at the right moment to basically remove a lot of creatures with a single protective spell.
Alternately, the leaves play trigger plays well with flicker effects. Have smaller creatures that can survive due to one of the aforementioned abilities fight it, then flicker or bounce to draw cards.
Blink decks will love this, because "leaves the battlefield". You can actually keep your opponents from benefiting by blinking it in response to their attack triggers, fizzling it. But you can have a, wait, would the max power/min toughness be a 7/11? Really, game? fight it, blink it, and draw 7 cards.
I do wish the wurm legend had been BRG, just so a wurm deck could include Charnelhoard Wurm and Massacre Wurm. Oh well...

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

As an ex-Meren player, I'm kind of glad that it's mono-green. I don't know that we need another multi-color fatties deck that can do Kamahl-Massacre Wurm shenanigans.
I feel like people are forgetting how fight works. If your opponent wants to take this guy off the table, they're still probably going to have to decimate their side of the table. Say your opponent has four 3/x creatures, they'll need to attack with all four, most likely they'll all trade with Grothama, they die before combat damage. Opponent draws 9 cards, keeps seven, but has no more creatures. And if you're playing Grothama you should always be playing a meaty zoo deck to out-creature your opponent. It's not ideal, and your opponent drawing cards sucks, but I think this guy will prove to be a scarier presence than people think. Especially in a limited format, it's gonna take a while to establish a board presence able to take out this guy.
Sweet card that can side-enrage dinos is cool and build-around-y. Like.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
How about casting Plagiarize in response to your opponent's draw? Granted, you would need lots of mana to pull this off within the same turn, but given green's ramping it could be done rather easily.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

You need temple altisaur in play for this to be hand for enrage
While Altisaur makes it pure value for enrage, there's definitely turns where you'll be willing to let your dinos die for the enrage trigger+card draw. Turning this and a pair of Ripjaw Raptors into 10 cards seems like value, for example.
I'm surprised it hasn't been as clearly stated yet, but after the Johnny in me got tired of trying to combo this with Vigor and Greater Good, it didn't take a very long second glance to realize that this is actually just a new green card-draw sorcery that happens to be able to be a commander.
Alternate reading:
Even Greater Good 3GG
Sorcery
Play only before combat
As you declare attackers this turn, choose any number of attacking creatures you control with total power 8 or more
For each creature chosen this way: deal 10 damage to that creature and draw cards equal to its power.
And that is just one mode the spell can have (since it can ALSO be the combo tool we all want to make it).

It’s really pretty versatile, but that doesn’t satisfy my “Command my Deck” itch, unfortunately. Although, I will still absolutely build Wurm-Tribal, because who doesn’t want to tell their table “Wurm Tribal Brah”.
Now there are two different ways to use Grothama, All-Devouring with Zacama, Primal Calamity
1.) Use Zacama deal 3 damage to creature ability to kill it with 9 damage.
2.) Attack with Zacama and have it fight with Grothama, All-Devouring. Weirdly enough the fact that it kills Zacama is a bonus in my deck, as you get to recast Zacama producing more mana if you have a land mana doubler.
The other thing, is that you can actually deal a further 6 damage with Zacama ability before it resolves that fight meaning that you'd draw 15 cards.
So if I am sitting across from this thing and respond to its impending death with a lightning bolt...I basically have a color shifted Ancestral Recall. In red! That's pretty cool.
Add that to the list of reasons Lightning Bolt is an underplayed card in Commander.
I also feel like I need to go jam Stifle in all my blue decks that don't already have one.
Yeah, unfortunately. Wurms have been a neglected tribe. I don't even think there are any wurm tribal cards, and most wurms are overcosted; Massacre Wurm, Novablast Wurm, and Wurmcoil Engine all see enough Commander play, though.
