The abilities themselves are pretty run-of-the-mill, but the interaction between the two cards makes them interesting.
What's happening in Krav's picture? It looks like Regna is trying to hold him back somehow. Maybe they are an ancient Angel and Demon of equal power locked in an eternal struggle and decided that they may as well become a famous fighting duo.
The demon can sac any creature not just the angels creatures Meren of Clan Nel Toth Can take the demon alone
Thats not what he meant. If you and your team mate draft these and they dont end up in the same deck then the angel is making tokens that the demon can't sacrifice because he doesn't say "Sacrifice X creatures your team controls" and she doesn't let you create the tokens under target players control. Sure he lets you sac any creaute you control, its clear he'll be great in commander. She was just commenting on the slight nonbo. You solve that by just playing them together.

What Gerrard's Mom is saying is that if you control Krav and your teammate controls Regna, then you can't can't sacrifice the tokens that your teammate makes to Krav's ability.
Unless you're allowed to sacrifice your teammate's creatures in order to pay costs now?
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Yeah, in EDH the synergy is solid. You gain life, make dudes, sac dudes, gain life, make more dudes. Repeat as long as you have enough black mana, which between Cabal Coffers and Urborg you should be good.
Battlebond draft, you do make enough dudes but they can't be sacced without another sac outlet to make life. Which isn't quite as helpful.
These two are reaaaallly sick as a team, but also the first pair that seems worth it standalone without their partners.
Regna, the Redeemer is similar to Crested Sunmare (tokens are much worse, but more plentiful if you are going wide and in a more supported tribe, and also a 4/4 Flying is better than a 5/5 vanilla most of the time for initial rate), and for most lifegain decks it is trivial to have this just vomit out a swarm of 1/1s per round. She's a little slow but solid as both a stand-alone Commander and as part of the 99 in any deck that cares about life, tokens, or both (which is a significant cross-section of white decks in EDH).
Krav, the Unredeemed is actually sick. He's also slow as molasses but having access to "B: Sacrifice a creature. Draw a card. Gain 1 life" is alone insane, and the fact that you can choose to throw multiple creatures in at once for just the one mana makes him a super Reprocess engine. He's amazing in any deck that can readily sacrifice a few tokens a turn; he seems great as a Commander but also disgusting in the 99 of any B/x sacrifice commander.
And of course you never have to run them alone, as there is simply no reason not to partner up and enjoy the sick synergy.

Well, it should be obvious why. The Demon eats evil black deck's evil dudes and the Angel (triggered by the life gain) turns them into redeemed white deck's white Warriors. And the Angel wouldn't like the Demon to eat the redeemed souls, so she keeps the tokens on her side of the field. That's their little story.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

I’m not a fan of the flavor here. The cards are cool on their own and the synergy in abilities is cool but WHY would this partnership ever materialize?
Well, these are both going in Karlov. They're a little high on the curve, but between each one fetching the other, triggering Karlov and triggering off the other things that trigger Karlov, plus making tokens and drawing cards, they're great. Throw in extra synergy with the soul sisters and Sun Droplet, etc, and I'm sold.

I think Krav may even make a deck on his own given his political power. Regna would be difficult to lead given her trigger only happens once a turn.

Angels and Demons are both spiritual beings taken corporeal shapes, so perhaps it's possible that they copulate in their spiritual forms.
