If anything Doubling Season at mythic in a super niche set is going to push the price up. What a joke. They still haven't learned.
You guys always screw this up
The price jump on reprints is because ey are printed in master sets which have a small print run
This set is getting printed at a pace no different to a standard set
So this will drop in price
Actually it is you who screwed up. BBD won't be printed at a pace like a Standard Set, Standard sets are printed into oblivion until the set rotates (max 2 years?) out of standard unless they don't sell like HOU which was discontinued 6 months prior to rotation.
Instead, BBD will be printed at a pace more similar to Unstable (go a bigger first print and a smaller second print) and Conspiracy. But given the success of Unstable and DOM I believe they will bump the BBD print substantially. That being said, it's very likely they will stop printing within the first 6 months, or until the next supplemental set comes out (perhaps before xmas?)

Nope your not going to win this
These types of sets get printed so much it's almost impossible to not spot it at wal-mart and target
These are separate sets that are focused for multi-player and not like a master set
Do your homework on the print run amount on conspiracy 1 and conspiracy 2
And now the fatal blow berserk and show and tell were reprint in conspiracy two and those were close to the same price as doubling season before the reprint you can get berserk for 10 and SAT for 20
Looking at those lands, I'm starting to put the flavor of this set together. Is Battlebond just a giant arena with shifting terrain, a la Pokemon Stadium in Super Smash melee?
There is a green creature that implies as much something about "evershifting terrain of the arena" or something similar.
I really dislike the fact that the reprints weren't given appropriate flavortext and art for the the plane, this isn't a masters set, it has its own setting.
As usual with these sets they get the core set treatment: Some reprints get new art, some reprints get new flavor text, but the majority don't.

Of course Doubling Season had to be a mythic, lest it break a multiplayer environment in half
Wizards- multiplayer or limited? what do you....oh, I mean, yes, there ARE meant to be multiplayer and limited considerations. DEFINITELY intended to be more than just a lottery for the couple worthwhile cards...*hastily throws in a couple draft chaff*

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
There's never too many Doubling Seasons. Every set should have Doubling Season.
And the friend or foe cycle will be great for commander. I've got an Isperia, Supreme Judge politics deck that'll especially love them.
Now I want to do a project to see what on a scale of 1 to 1024 (It's anti-logarithmic, so a 2 is worth twice 1, 4 is worth three times 1, etc. Because, you know, DOUBLING!) each set could use Doubling Season.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
no, I think they have learned, they learned they can make a rare into a mythic and put it into a set no one wants to buy and that will suddenly change it into a set people want to buy
Why reprint a card people want into a Masters set, a set people will buy already, when they can shove it in this and move more product? I'm sure we'll see at least one more chase mythic in this set before spoiler season is done
Wizards is great at taking the money of fools
Really? You must be joking right? A set no one wants to buy?! There are 37 cards spoiled as of this comment, and you make a judgement that no one wants to buy the set? Really?
And, what's more, is you're actually advocating a high price reprint that people have been calling for for years should be in the over priced and underwhelming Masters sets?
I give up trying to understand what people want from this game.
Yes, a set that wouldn't have any cards legal in standard or modern would probably sell really poorly. Few people are excited for draft sets as they are for standard sets. My point is they clearly reserved several high priced staples for printing in this set instead of a Masters set to push the selling of this product. Draft sets are usually not printed and sold to the extent of a standard set, most people know this and so does wizards, so they kept a few gems to incentivize sales and they decided not to put a few of those cards (doubling season and nemesis) into masters because they knew it would sell with the EV it had and selfishly kept them for Battlebond.
Yes, I am advocating Doubling Season and Nemesis should be printed in those other sets as well as this set. I don't want to buy Battlebond, I don't want to play Battlebond, I want to buy Modern Masters and have Modern Masters have better cards in it. I also think the price of Modern masters should drop. I also think every expensive card should be printed and reprinted again until they drop severely in price. Doubling season could have fit just as well in the place of the infamous Tree in the latest Modern set, and it could have fit in at rare in this set. It is weird how you extrapolated so much false data about the way I think from one post and all concerning things I didn't even talk about. You clearly can't understand what people want from this game because you're thinking is so very limited, cheers anyway though.

The last three draft matters sets were Conspiracy 1 and 2, and Unstable. All three have been incredibly well received despite having cards unplayable in Standard and Modern. A massive number of people were ridiculously excited for those three sets, and none of them sold poorly. Unstable sold out incredibly quickly in my area. Standard and Modern are not the only formats that sell sets. Commander is incredibly popular. Look at all of the comments saying that each new set is a set for commander players.
Yeah, they probably keep a few desirable reprints aside for sets like this. Like Berserk in CON2. The alternative is that these reprints are not made because Wizards has deemed so much to be too strong for Standard, they come in supplemental products, like this one or the Commander decks (especially since Duel Decks aren’t a thing anymore), or they’re in Masters sets. Which brings me to point number 2:
Yes, I am advocating Doubling Season and Nemesis should be printed in those other sets as well as this set. I don't want to buy Battlebond, I don't want to play Battlebond, I want to buy Modern Masters and have Modern Masters have better cards in it. I also think the price of Modern masters should drop. In comparison to the last few draft matters sets, the last two Masters sets are considered to be disappointing, and that’s an understatement. They had very few decent reprints, and mostly at mythic, so if you didn’t pull one of the few money cards, you’re out of luck. The booster boxes are only 24 packs and the packs themselves are nearly three times the price of a normal booster (at least where I live. $6.50NZ for a normal booster, $17NZ for a Masters booster). Whereas Battlebond is 36 packs, and normal priced.
I too want Masters product to be brought into line with the cost and availability of regular product, but it isn’t going to happen. Wizards are milking the ‘Masters’ name for all they can, and they have proved they’re going to try and increase the lottery as much as possible.
It’s all well and good for you not to want to buy Battlebond. Whether you don’t draft, you only play standard, you don’t like the art, that’s fine. But making a statement that no one wants this set when 14% of it had been shown is ridiculous.
Also, the decent reprints in Battlebond now include:
And I’ll happily take those cards at normal prices over Masters prices any day. Don’t get me wrong, Masters 25 would be amazing at regular pricing, but it isn’t going to happen. The sooner that Wizards kills the Masters products in favour of sets like Battlebond and Conspiracy, the better in my opinion. Granted, if the bring Masters product into line with regular product, that’d be great too, but I don’t see that as likely at all.

Show and Tell, Berserk, and Mirari's Wake went down and two of them are played in non Commander formats and the last one is played in Commander.
There is way more demand for Doubling Season than for any of those. Don't get too caught up in the formats, Doubling Season is a casual all-star and one of the most popular kitchen table cards. Those three cards were expensive due to a lack of supply, not any particular demand. Doubling Season already got a recent reprint and that couldn't keep the price down.
