So... card aside... what's with Wizards only spoiling one card per day? I feel like we are being punished for the big leak.
They have to pace themselves on spoilers since they were practically forced to start spoiler season like 2-3 weeks early. IMO it's better than dumping a ton of cards a month before release, and it's leagues better than not acknowledging it at all. I also feel like it gives more time to appreciate the cards that we do receive each day.

Spoiler season begins next week, like it was always scheduled to (I posted such 3 posts and ~90 minutes before your post).. The leak is causing them to feel they need to fill content this week rather than have radio silence from leak to spoiler, so they seeded a tiny bit of stuff into this week that normally would have had little-to-nothing (we would likely be at just mechanics and promos right now).
Sweet art! "Time of Ice," though? Why not "Ice Age?"
Possibly too close to Ice Cage when that card might be reprinted in Core. Possibly because they decided not to use set names as card names for the Sagas specifically.
Agreed, I've been so completely sick of the 'unified art style' of the last few sets. I dont care if it make it 'better' for theme. I want art like this, and the tapestry, and the stain glass window.
I admire this form of art. It reminds me of early Magic art. It's all the heavily digital, video game screen capture modern art that I can't stand. Give me water colors, painting, Guay, Moeller, impressionist/expression art, fantasy concepts and I am all about it. Look how elegant and evocative these pieces are. They're not so literal, and the medium isn't hyper-digital either. Exactly what I want. These actually feel like they belong in a fantasy game called Magic. Not screen captures from the online battle game WAR: THE GATHERING.
It's honestly Cynthia Sheppherd. She knows what she's doing.
As to the name, this is actually an in game reference apparently from a late 90s Magic video game. I saw a thread on it on twitter.
Amazing depth these folks are going to for the Saga's. I'm not a lore guy, but I appreciate when canon is respected like this.
I strongly feel Sagas should be done again in Return to Theros. Can you imagine Legendary Sagas, where we have the birth of each Theros god in Nyx? "Birth of Thassa" as a Blue Saga for example, showing her taking form in Nyx in the art? Legendary Sorceries too, showing the gods using their magic. I really admire so much about this set that I feel we should see many of these concepts again.
So... card aside... what's with Wizards only spoiling one card per day? I feel like we are being punished for the big leak.
Exactly man ! On top of that: its of course a card we already know. If they call this ***** Preview Season, then they are doin a damn bad job. They are givin us the worst preview-season ever right here guys !
Hmm to me the Sagas all kook like cheap stitchworks. Quite ugly

Sure, those are sets named after cards rather than cards named after sets, but still.
I think it could also refer to the fact that these sagas refer to events that happened 300 years ago. Maybe at the time people were going around saying "Well, I guess this is our Ice Age," but their decedents 300 years later lofted the period only recorded in lore as "The Time of Ice." Names change as cultures change and times passes.
I like the "Time of Ice" as the name. I think it has more of a high fantasy ring to it than calling something an Ice Age, which seems a little bit more like modern terminology.
I love the art for these sagas, showing the phyrexians up to as well.

The tapestry art is awesome. It tells a story in and of itself but leaves it up to your imagination to discover what's going on, and that's what I like about it.
There is a lovely nostalgia vibe about this set. Like coming back to visit the town where you grew up!
Sweet art! "Time of Ice," though? Why not "Ice Age?"
Think of it from people living in the world. As ancient history, referring to it as Time of Ice is more likely. It is a bit like the Chinese categorizing things as Ming Dynasty - It only became Ming Dynasty many centuries after the events occurred.
I wouldn't expect there to be a Mirage/Visions named event - those words were the packaging labels of a set of cards designed to show the events in question. The Mirage evens would probably be known as the "Triangle Wars"
I guess people would rather have nothing this week??? Or just complain for complaining sake? We are lucky to get anything. Highlighting Magics history through, god forbid one or two cards a day, seems like a good idea. Sorry some of these cards are already known, again because of a way ahead of time leak, but we hadnt seen the Art for them yet so at least be positive. The leak only sped up previes and articles, sorry the whole set and story werent just dumped in your lap months ahead of time.

Been a member here for over a dozen years. Playing since '95 just got lost in the twitch shuffle.
Forget the card, I want the wall tapestries actually printed on cloth tapestries. I was afraid they were going to be mostly like the Phyrexian one, but instead they really went all out with the story telling on these things.
