Fall Into Oblivion can take out 93.85% of creatures currently in Standard, 93.07% of creatures in Modern, and 92.36% of creatures in Legacy. Compare this to everyone's favorite Doom Blade, which can take out only 76.48% of creatures currently in Modern--the new removal spell is definitely better and just might qualify as "strictly better" (it has the same cost, the same speed, yet hits more targets). Only in DOM itself will the spell be less than ideal.
It's nice seeing some decent removal, although with the legendary focus of Dominaria it may not be great at first, and Opt being a FNM promo is nice as well.
I'm still not a fan of the legendary frame. It seems unnecessary. I'm not saying it looks bad, it's just not for me.
Good cards as FNM promos!? They really do learn sometimes at WotC! I love that we are getting a "doom blade" as well.

I just noticed after my initial comment that the djinn is legendary. Man, what a bummer, that was a very balanced card without the legendary textbox. It would be a strictly better Mahamoti Djinn.
It is still a good card, but now I think you can't just jam four-copies of it. Here is where stapling legendary in everything starts to reduce the playability of cards.
It doesn't even feel legendary. It's just your run-of-the-mill djinn which also happens to be a strictly better Mahamoti. What does he have that sets him apart from other djinni?
That hes a 4 Mana Mahamoti Djinn !
Thats crazey strong man

It's not. You have to make deckbuilding concessions when you play him and even then it's just a 5/6 flier for 4 that dies to any generic removal spell, which means that it will only see play in Standard, and that's a big maybe. So while he's not bad, I wouldn't classify him as "crazy strong" either. Also if we're using power to cost ratio as a metric to decide what should be Legendary, then I guess Wild Nacatl and Delver of Secrets should be Super Legendary.
5/6 flyer for 4 is very strong for standard, even if it dies to removal. The fact that basically almost all other flyers (and most stuff on the ground) cannot effectively attack into it is huge. Desecration Demon and Abyssal Persecutor were big flyers with drawbacks that saw play. The main point that will prevent this card from being played is not reliably having a useful artifact on the board to tap.

Yeah, I get that, but I mean, is really being strong in a bad cards format (because the things that are really classified as "very strong" are format defining cards like Hazoret or Scarab God) enough to warrant Legend status? While he's beefy and efficient, at the end of the day he's just a french vanilla that happens to cost 4 if you build your deck around it.
It cant be seriously your argument that a 4 Mana 5/6 Flyer is worse in your opinion cuz any generic removal will hit him. Not true. Fatal Push only with Revolt. The new black 2 mana-legend-killer not at all. Red burn neither. White though, yeah.
Yeah true. He cant be put into just any Deck. Artifact-Dex though now have 4 Mana Mahamoti-Djinn.
His body is relevant when it comes to combat Scarab God & Hazoret by the way.

Just sayin, push won't kill him cuz his CMC is still 6.
Is not that you need to jump through lots of hoops to play it. I mean, people have been jamming 4x Scrapheap Scroungers in every deck anyway. There are also vehicles, treasure tokens... You don't need to play bad cards to be able to play it.
There's a card that people aren't talking about or noticing, but the green elf card is apparently Champion of the steel leaf, GGG 5/4, Champion cannot be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less.
Which seems powerful on turn 2.
As for the Djinn, its ok that he's legendary, because the 4 mana slot is going to be STACKED on that deck given that you will run tezzeret the schemer, the new karn, and djinn which all 3 will work perfectly together.

You're both still missing the point. It's not about playability, it's about that being an efficient beater doesn't explain it's Legendary status. It could have been a random djinn and no one would have noticed.
The whole theme of Dominaria is ‘Legends all around us’. It’s like a city full of superheroes. Some of them will just be mundane workhorse Superheroes, they won’t all have the awesome backstory.

No, I get that and I agree. I was just answering what you said about the need to build your deck around it.
And going back to the original boring-Legendary-creatures-are-everywhere-in-Dominaria set, even efficient wasn't necessary. I see you, Sivitri Scarzam. You can't pretend to be a reasonably-pricier-because-colorshifted Craw Wurm any longer!
I think Zahid is a fine card powerlevel wise, but he feels super underwhelming as a legendary(although You can abuse his ability to constantly circumvent commander tax)
Warning for spam
Also, Zahid's number suggests there are 2 colorless cards (one being Karn). Could it be an Oath of Karn?
