I wouldn't be surprised if Diabolic Edict is more exiting to a lot of people than 9/10 rares in this set, it's a pauper staple and they've had that art since like 2014 but just refused to print it anywhere.
Well glad i will just draft this once or maybe twice. And glad i didn't pre orded a box. This sets is looking like the designers spent too many hours playing Shandalar and just wanted to reprint some of the crap in the game. I m glad for like 15 cards being reprinted. This could have been such a good set. ( hope they at least put more good uncommons so i can at least be happy going to draft.)

You know, exciting reprints at common is actually how I imagine myself a better world, so that's a good thing. I didn't even know that art existed before this thread, I think. I really like how these three look as opposed to the versions I have lying around, so getting the commons for art upgrades at least seems viable.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Ugh, Erg Raiders? There are more deserving commons from Arabian Nights that need the print. Cuombajj Witches or Oubliette would have been much more appriciated.

Not a chance that Oubliette would have been common though. Maybe it's still possible at uncommon?

Given the complexity of Oubliette's wording, even in Oracle text, I think NWO would probably force it at Rare. Which means it's not happening.
Oubliette is more of a pipe-dream want anyway. Cuombajj was my sensible choice.
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.

Not too crazy about the witches, but yeah, there are more deserving cards over the Raiders. I was hoping for Oubliette as well.

Despite a few exceptions, they still fundamentally want to keep this draft envorinment mostly holding to the color pie. Oubliette would be a white card today (they put Fiend Hunter in this set, a later evolution of the same concept, as well as Mesmeric Fiend, which is another relative. More in keeping with the color pie of today, Hunter exiles a creature from the battlefield until the source of the exile is dealt with, a very white effect; Mesmeric exiles a card from hand until the source of the exile is dealt with, a very black effect). Likewise, a creature that pings for damage? Red now. Was more tolerated to be in black and blue back then, but is something they consider predominantly red now. Probably a large part of the reason they ducked Unstable Mutation, too. That exact aura is presently a red card in today's Standard.

At least it isn't Cruel Edict - at common I can overlook flashback for instant-speed.
Man what a great card back in the day. Now it's barely a $1 card.
Bummer that Chainer's probly won't get a reprint in this set.

That’s some gruesome art on Diabolic Edict. If it was the demonic hands tearing apart an actual body then that’d take the cake.
