I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
I sometimes get the feeling this represents the current state of magic.
Unfortunately it isn’t the fault of Wizards of the Coast for the state that Magic is in, its Hasbro. Their fueled greed has caused WotC to pump out more useless garbage than ever before. Return to Ravnica is when it all went downhill.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Wotc had 249 of their employees one by one enter a tornado box blindfolded to grab a card out of the air and when the dust settled, congratulated them on putting together Masters 25!

First printed in Gatecrash.
Number Crunch .:. Spreadsheet: Cards per Set
This is my favorite quote so far about this set, and I agree so heavily. Did I use this card during Gatecrash at all? I can't even remember.
An enigma as vexing as life itself.

Yes, I always keep 5 mana open for combat tricks.
Haha.
It's in because it's a meme. I fully expect Storm Crow will be in as well for that reason.
"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
