why 4 PW in the set? the standard was 5 in the 2-set block with a 3-2 split, considering that we will go with all "big" set the standard should be 3 pw per set. I dont't think Liliana will be in (considering the quote about GW members toning down) and Karn (C) Jaya (R) and Teferi (U/UW) will be the set PW
Liliana has been in each set that included her going up against one of her four demons and Dominaria has the last remaining one. I as well think there is a high chance she is in here.
I also wouldn't be surprised either if they deviate from the standard in this set of all possible options. I already expect the number of overall planeswalkers to increase from ca. "ten a year" to "ten a year plus what we put in the core set". Planeswalker characters are in high demand.
From the lore characters that are confirmed for the set I expect Gideon the least to get printed as a planeswalker card (at all). He sounds like he will be a sidekick to Liliana.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Still convinced the guy on Beseech the Queen is wearing a Mitra-type hat. Wake up sheeple!
Yeah, that's what it looks like to me. Although there is a legendary angel in the set!
Care to back up that statement? This is the first I'm hearing about a legendary angel.
The author of the stories to be written said in a podcast an angel is part of the weatherlight crew. [I believe it was the author, could've been creative, I forgot which.]

It was the author, Martha Wells. To be fair though, we only know the angel is in the story, not for sure that there will be a card for her. There likely will be, of course, but we had central book characters without cards before (e.g. Feather, the angel colleague of Agrus Kos in the ravnica Books).

Also that she's got a vampire buddy.
Which sounds like a pretty cool twist on the Crovax/Selenia lore from Weatherlight v1.

Yeah it's probably a callback or parallel to that, which is neat! It's nice to hear that the author is enjoying writing the angel, too. Name is Tiana btw. [sp]. I'm pretty sure the angel on the pack art is her, as she's a guardian angel, and that one with the shield and everything looks pretty fitting.

i'm leaning more towards knight than angel. i don't think angel wings generally attach that low on the body. i'm not seeing a convincing feather texture either. the thing above the shield on the left is definitely metal.

I agree. There also appears to be a leather strap draped across the horse/wing, which could be some sort of bridle/reins.

Been a member here for over a dozen years. Playing since '95 just got lost in the twitch shuffle.
I'm wondering, since we were not shown Ezuri's card, if they are putting in just a legendary in the face of the planeswalker decks to show off whatever new thing they have planned for legendaries.
I'm not sure
But what I know for sure on the reason he's hidden
I garateed you it has nothing about making a easier to understand regenerate
That ended around kaladesh and 2017 later damnation got reprinted after all of these years since planar chaos and I don't see any changes to regenerate

My only question in regards with that now, is if it is a change of the card frame, will it be done with all legendary permanents, or just legendary creatures?
I think Wizards has to remind people that spoiled art can be of random, nameless common and uncommon creatures as well as important legendary creatures and planeswalkers. Art quality definitely doesn't have anything to do with rarity or importance. Remember when Scrapper Champion's art got spoiled when Aether Revolt was being teased, and a bunch of people thought it was Saheeli because people just assumed that this human woman from Kaladesh just had to be someone important?
The ancient Greek and Roman depictions of their Gods and heroes varied wildly across different artists, so they gave each figure an identifying item or article of clothing. For example, you knew this random naked guy was Hermes due to his winged sandals. Wizards approaches their important characters in much the same way, so trying to identify a (human) character purely from skin tone and hair color is basically doomed from the start. Huatli is going to have her headdress and be with a dinosaur in all of her arts because that's her shtick. Narset is a little harder to identify, but most Jeskai and Ojutai characters are going to be in some sort of martial arts pose.
Liliana has been in each set that included her going up against one of her four demons and Dominaria has the last remaining one. I as well think there is a high chance she is in here.
Not to mention Dominaria is her home plane. I personally would find it weird if she was omitted from the set entirely considering that fact.

A few people thought that the art was for Saheeli, but the much larger incident surrounding that art was people thinking it was for a legendary creature, and understandably so: WotC put that art with the name "Advika Taar" and a character bio on their website next to a bunch of other characters' names, art, and bios (https://magic.wizards.com/en/products/aether-revolt). Everyone assumed that there would be cards for Advika Taar and Surash along with the other characters, since Kambal already had a card in Kaladesh and Sram and Rishkar were later confirmed in Aether Revolt. There was even speculation of Advika Taar being the long-awaited UR artificer legend, making it all the more heartbreaking for those people when Advika Taar's artwork ended up on a random uncommon (Surash had no art at all, oddly) and neither appeared in the actual story. This is made even worse by the fact that they had five characters with cards in Aether Revolt that they easily could have put on that page - Sram, Baral, Yahenni, Kari Zev, and Rishkar - yet for some god-forsaken reason whoever designed that web page decided to use only two of them and replace the other three with one character from the previous set and two characters that didn't actually exist.
It's perfectly fair to blame the fanbase for hasty assumptions of random art being planeswalkers - both in the past and with the alleged "Narset" and "Huatli" art now - but the misconception with Scrapper Champion was more that it was a new legend than that it was Saheeli, and unlike those other instances, you can't really blame the players for interpreting it that way because they had just about every reason to believe it was a legendary creature. That time it was entirely WotC's fault for being disorganized and misleading on their own website.

This woman is not Huatli. She's not even human. She's an angel. YOU CAN SEE THE WINGS!

And if they dont make a skyship-faring legendary angel card for the new gen weatherlight crew?? I'll send them a mildly-annoyed email!
Seriously though. It will be interesting to see what role she plays. Will she be an outcast? Or is she a representative for the new order of serra.
Also that she's got a vampire buddy.

There are plenty of angels with wings set at shoulder/just below shoulder level (which is where wings on angels would be attached, anyway), Akroma, Angel of Wrath, Restoration Angel, Jenara, Asura of War, Archangel of Thune. I won't list them all.
Feathers are behind her arm. And yes the thing on the left above the shield is definitely metal, just like the armored coverts of her left wing.
