Of course she seeks power in the service of peace. What could be more peaceful than hulking up and giving someone a healthy dose of tranquility right in the face.
Oh. And I like the card almost as much as the flavor text.
Seems like a decent Ezuri, Claw of Progress card. Not sure where this card falls into a standard meta. I like it personally, and won't mind getting one in a pack.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets
The Mimeoplasm WUBRGSliver OverlordGRBUW WUBRGSliver Hivelord(Superfriends)GRBUW
This design is pretty good. Even if your opponent keeps zapping your dude before it can get to 3 counters, the card is still putting pressure. The flipside is a savage beating after it goes off.

My favorite flavor text: Time of Heroes
Feel free to tell me yours!
I feel like this means flying Bristling Hydras incoming. Granted, I can't think of anything that Energy would want to take out, but perhaps after a rotation this will end up slotted in somewhere?
But after so many godpowered flip-lands (Tolarian Academy, Gea Cradle, mana equal to life points, volrath stronghold on steroids, etc.) this looks disappointing. Not a bad one, but it sure does very poor compared to all the other fliplands.
It's also the easiest to flip in this set. Getting counters on creatures in standard is pitifully easy.

"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
This is a pretty solid merfolk tribal card given how much synergy they have with the +1/+1 counters. That and both Metallic Mimic and Walking Ballista are still in the format right now. The fact it gives a +1/+1 counter at the start of combat is especially good with the former two cards and when it flips it can help win the game easily with an unblockable target.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Just what we needed--creatures as large as 12/13 going on the attack in the air on turn 4 (turn 2 Constrictor, turn 3 Climb--4/5 on t3, 6/7 on t4, transform, pump).
so whats the most explosive play you could do with this?
T1: Attune with Aether
T2: Longtusk Cub
T3: Climb, Put climb counter on cub and energy counter on cub, attack with 4/4 (enemy at 16)
T4: Put climb and energy counter on cub, flip climb, tap out to berserk the cub, attack with 12/12 flying (enemy at 4)
He and his EDH deck would have been sad right now, if it wasn't for this beautiful card!

What's the most resilient parasite? An idea.
A single idea from the human mind can build cities.
An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules...

seems the same as constrictor clock above
If we're just strictly visiting Christmas land then its prolly something like:
T1: Land (SFX Maniacal laughter)
T2: Land, Snek
T3: Land, Enter the Unknown on Snek. 2 +1/+1 counters, bonus land, Climb, 2 +1/+1 counters, flip Climb swing for 6 leaving Temple untapped for emergency Defense.
T4: Land, Blossoming Defense, activate Climb, swing for 16.
You'd still have 1 card in hand, so maybe there's an even more efficient line. Lethal on 4, in the air, is no joke tho.
Of course, having your Snek Pushed would be sad trombone time.
Maybe? Probably need a fourth land to check the opponent's hand during first main phase, though. Alternatively, the Agent is already 5/5 so it needs only +2/+x to finish the job on turn 4. Blossoming Defense to the rescue, perhaps.
