Sure? I mean it's obviously a companion piece to Blood Moon. Any land that has a non-mana ability is a nonbasic. So this punishes nonbasics, just like Blood Moon did, and Magfus of the moon, and red in general always has.


This makes fetches completely useless. At least under a Blood Moon they could make mana. Here, they can't do squat.

Yea forgot about Blood Moon. At least it's something vs the flip lands. Shows some initiative in having solutions out there

Is safer to use then blod moons for decks with more then one color that doesn't use fetchlands.

Beyond that, it's also land destruction lite, which is pretty red.

I wonder if we've got another generation of manlands coming up in the next... 6 sets... and this really shuts those down and good.

Devastating in Legacy. But is it better than Blood Moon? I actually think it is some percent of the time.

This will be very interesting for Modern. I'm sure the Standard folks will find use for it against the flip lands also. I'm happy they made this

I love this. Even if it’s worse than Blood Moon, it’s still very powerful in both Standard and Modern/Eternal. And it cantrips.

Yeah, in Legacy this also kills Thespian's Stage. But in Modern, Academy Ruins gets played too, in Lantern. But it also hoses fetches and manlands as stated before.

Oooooh... A "fixed" Blood Moon. I like this a lot! I would definitely be comfortable playing a copy of Blood Sun in my casual EDH decks, as this feels a lot more "fair."

This isn't strictly worse than Blood Moon, which is great. It's better against fetchlands, equal against manlands, and worse against decks with really greedy manabases.

Stupid question. Would this turn off City of Traitors sac clause?

This is weird as it’s both hate and anti-drawback. Dual lands come into play untapped, Bouncelands don’t require you to bounce anything, City of traitors doesn’t require any sacrifices, Lotus Vale becomes literal Black Lotus.
