World Shaper3G Creature — Merfolk Shaman (Rare)
Whenever World Shaper attacks, you may put the top three cards of your library into your graveyard.
When World Shaper dies, put all land cards from your graveyard onto the battlefield tapped. "The Great River will not be tamed."
3/3
Welp. I wasn't gonna put that much money into Sidisi but this is great.
Given that it's just rare and requires a lot of hoops, I can't imagine it being more than $3 so it shouldn't break the bank for Sid. Splendid Reclamation is much more flexible, and is still under a buck. This is better for most dredge lists because it's a creature, but it's not strictly better since it has to die to trigger and you probably don't need this effect recurred over and over (unless you are Gitrog).

This card is for sure going to slot into my Sidisi, Brood Tyrant EDH deck. It fills the graveyard and helps me get any lands back that have already been milled.
I may try it out in Karador, Ghost Chieftain as well. The first ability is a may so I don't have to mill if I don't want to (though filling my graveyard for Karador is still good) but getting my lands back in that deck can also be reasonable.
Art is intense, I like this card for some sort of a re-animator style bug deck. This block has had some cool artwork thus far, making it hard to not foil for me.
I have no idea why this wasn't printed at 2G. 3/3 is the right size for that in Green (best creatures), and in terms of exploiting it, in Standard it woudl still take to t5 to be worth it, and even with fetches in modern, it gets Path'd easily enough, or the life loss from all those fecthes does bad things to you anyway. Just doesn't seem strong at all on 4 when it might have been a good, but not broken, card on 3.
talk about value in modern. Yeah without a sac outlet its vulnerable to exile, but resetting a ton of fetchlands, field of ruins, ghost quarters, deserts, etc or just give some kind of scapeshift resilience makes this thing flood a board with lands. For the same cost as skyshroud claim you might get back 4-5+ lands in a big play. Course, at some point the ratio of basics becomes limiting with fetches, and this is a real nombo with KotR, and as nawillih points out there's also the matter of life loss, so maybe this has some application in a desert-based standard deck?
Quick question, is this able to return land creatures that die at the same time such as Dryad Arbor or if regular lands are animated with something like Living Plane?

The ability only cares about cards in your graveyard with the type "land." The ability can return Dryad Arbor, and lands that go to the graveyard at the same time World Shaper dies will also come back due to being in the graveyard at the time the ability resolves. Next time you have a question like these, please head to the Rules forum.

Now, it's an interesting build-around. Fun with obliterate. One-sided fun.
Check out Mana Seism. I love this card.
Take your pick of which one of these commanders you want to put this in.
Mmmmmm....omnath sounds delicious
