Interesting that they used the old templating in making it two separate abilities. Not sure how it's abusable, but you could remove the enchantment with the first ability still on the stack and then the cards are gone for good.
Only 3 Story Spotlight cards this time around. The first I'm assuming is some legendary land representing the City of Orazca and the third being something with the Immortal Sun being stolen by the schemer.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
Pretty sure there are some shenanigans to be had coupling this with cards like Spirit of the Labyrinth. Likewise, targeting yourself seems pretty silly in the right situation.

Yep I just realized that
The cards you draw do not go to the grave and you get the original cards back so you could target yourself.
Thus vraska asking jace to do that to her according to the spoiled photos from earlier.
Arkham, the 1920's. Investigators battle horrors from beyond time and space, risking life and sanity while conspiracies of cultists and malign servitors seek gateways for their outer gods to return...
Soon, the stars will be right! Great Cthulhu shall rise!
This is a really cool card draw tool. Target yourself... Sac the enchantment to something like Angelic Purge... voila!
And since you exiled your cards, you even know if it's worth getting them back.

Better than that
If you have the the locust god dang dog a good load of bugs for attack.
Image if you had 15 cards in hand with this and the bugs.

Note that the second ablility doesn't force a player to discard the hand. So, if you have a way to sac the enchantment, it effectively becomes "2U: Draw cards equal to the number of cards in your hand", which can be bonkers.
I'm super suprised to find a card with that name to be something you want to cast on yourself - though it makes perfect sense with the storyline event depicted since it depicts an action taken as part of a common strategy - and foreshadows that Vraska will have plenty more knowledge than otherwise once the amnesia is inevitably lifted. That's a neat littel package right there and with a fairly unique design to find exploits for. Great design work.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

I actually really like this card for both flavor and gameplay reasons. Everyone has already gone over how this is sneakily a really good draw spell. But also the way that this card returns cards to their owner's hand leads me to believe that Vraska's memories will be given back to her at some point.

Or Bolas will somehow bring these memories back when he probes her mind the next time they meet.
A weaker and worse memory jar basicly (doesn't put the new cards to the grave)
I knew this happened from the art book spoilers
Actually, I don't believe it's "worse" at all and shouldn't be compared to memory jar. It may have a similar effect, but it doesn't give your opponents new hands even though it's still targeted for political points or to surgically screw a player over who has been tutoring or hand sculpting. It's more long term. Even a way to put your hand in cold storage and get it back later by bouncing it. It's a really great effect and I love it.
I can't wait to use Opalescence to animate this and pair it with Deadeye Navigator Note that you only get your cards back if it goes to the graveyard. So bouncing it will leave cards exiled this way in exile.
So you just end up getting a ton of cards if you Claws of Gix this thing with the abilities on the stack huh? Draw 5 say, then get the exiled ones back?
Seems really, really silly.

I do think the best card to play to get your memory back is with Perilous Research.
Oh man. Okay then no Aviary Mechanic then :/

I'd be disappointed if this never gets exploited.
Very flavourful too, if Vraska ever gets her sealed memories back in the future, as this card seems to suggest.
