Very powerful beater that is hard to kill and plays offense and defense - but it costs 8. May be worth cheating into play, although it doesn't kill incredibly quick (I mean, for an 8-drop) or do something broken the turn it comes into play.
8 toughness in case it loses indestructible? Or indestructible in case the 9th toughness was just one too many? Your guess is as good as mine.
-x/-x effects is an actual thing (particulary Dismember), but I also think they want little Timmy to play this with Belligerent Brontodon for the stupid and insane win-more.

Wow this is so awesome because it's so outrageous. I want to play Abzan (hold on don't hate me yet) reanimator with the new black green flip land and this guy.
I guess they're not failing timmy with this, but its really the kind of big dumb threat that gets quickly forgotten in a game filled with exile, bounce, tap, etc effects or just more efficient clocks. Even if a reanimator archetype makes a showing, I feel that coexisting with both other big dinos like gishath, razaketh and amonkhet's eternalizes and being so linear means people would just ignore this anyway.

I like seeing double-strike and trample together. Not doing anything on your 2nd attack feels bad sometimes.

Interesting to see if U/W can use it in standard though.
No haste is a bit of a negative but it hits all the other sweet spots. I'll add this to the cards I'm getting as singles, first non flip to obtain that grace so far.

People play Chromanticore in Modern Soulflayer builds primarily to discard it and mulch its keywords onto a Soulflayer. This is 3/5 of a Chromanticore’s keyword soup, swapping Double Strike and Indestructible in over First Strike and Lifelink.
lol WTF. If you don't have any idea what to give to a legend jsut give it a ***** ton of keywords XD. I like it.

Could be decent in gift to end games quickly, not sure if it is ever better than Angel of Invention though. Doran EDH and friends will definitely eat this up.

Aside from single target -x/-x effect, or if a blocker is 4 toughness or less, Zetalpa is stronger than Akroma. Hell, even the cc is easier than Akroma and allows Animate Dead to be played on it.
But it's also boring as hell. Elder Dinos are big beaters, we get it, but they could at least make it interesting.

akroma still has the haste in white. but this guy is better in every other way, other than it can be blocked by demons and dragons i guess.
i like the card, i dont like that it is so close to akroma and surpasses her ,if akroma didnt exist, i would love it, now it's eh.
