A 3/4 for 1GG that Naturalizes is pretty cool. Angrath is a bit lacklustre from what I was expecting more interesting than I originally thought. If played right, the ultimate can do some serious damage and could be game winning.

Wow - I remember back when I played in TimeSpiral Standard - Nessian Courser was one of the best value creatures in my deck. 3/3 for CMC 3 and no drawback was pretty stoke-worthy. That dino is pretty much strictly better (the double-green makes it a bit hazy, but in a multi-coloured deck you want more green for mana fixing anyway)
It's good value as vanilla - the sac to naturalize (without tapping, mind - so you can do it in response to removal) makes it fantastic in my opinion.
Angrath looks okay for commander - I doubt he'll see standard play at that cost.
It feels like they're being very safe with the walkers this time around. I hope they aren't going to the other extreme from the days of Gideon, Ally of Stupidity.
That said, I'm OK with Angrath, and he may end up being better than he looks.
Angrath is okay. At four he would have been great. That +1 will be great in my Yidris Nekusar deck though. Which, I guess, means the ult will be good too. Wheel, wheel, wheel, wheel ult kill you *****es.

I'm actually totally OK with that. When I first learned about planeswalkers I thought they were flavourful but gimmicky. I honestly thought they were cards targetting the Johnny/Vorthos players and wouldn't see competitive play. But then they got pushed and now most decks need planeswalkers to be competitive and I hated that. (It's one of the reasons I quit playing for a few years - I got back in because SOI interested me)
So, yeah - I'd be totally fine if planeswalkers stop being the linchpin in decks and take a back-seat to the rest of the synergy in the deck itself.

I hope this is just a fake, because Angrath is so terrible it's hard to believe this is a real magic planeswalker. Thank god two of his abilities say 'each opponent' in it, which is basically the only justification one can find to use him in commander. I'm still shaking my head, I just hope they didn't screw up the new WB vampire chick with the awesome art as well.
Dino is pretty good, low costed and effective, nothing to further add there.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.

...Ssssssooooooo... You want to neuter one of the premier and most popular card types because you misevaluated them some years ago?
Hmmm, that Planeswalkers isn't too bad. His ult reads poorly, but it will likely just kill all opponents. His minus is very interesting. And his plus is a solid control ability. I hope we can see a Grixis superfriends deck in standard for this to fit into

I like making opponents discard cards - it's one thing that modern Magic doesn't have enough of, so I'm actually a little stoked for this, but I don't generally play Rakdos colours.

To be fair, it's okay to have opinions on how certain card types should be used. I personally think it would be a good idea to take more format defining power out of the Mythic rare level and shift it down to rare, leaving the Mythics to be mostly what GW2 described, big splashy cards and vorthos centerpieces. Making standard more affordable and less centered on mythics (which is a complaint a lot of people have).
Also, planeswalkers aren't necessarily popular because they're good competitively. I actually can't think of any of Magic's myriad of planeswlaker centric marketing that mentions competitive play at all. Most of the marketing centers around them as characters, their adventures across the planes, and how cool it's supposed to be to be a planeswalker. Planeswalker decks, for example, sell a fair amount and the planeswalkers in them tend to hold decent prices for easy to come by precon cards and we all know that these decks and the planeswalkers in them tend to not be much to write home about. Anyhow, my point is that the marketing viability and popularity of planeswalkers doesn't hinge on them being lynch pin cards in competitive play.
Anyway, I actually like PW deck Angrath better than this one and that dino is pretty nice.

Angrath- Seems okay, +1 mini-blighting seems good but idk if at 5 mana he is worth it, but i don't really play straight black/red.
Brontodon- Nice! now if only there was recursion...
Seer- NICE! Loving these mana dino dorks and the dino deck needed some recursion.
River Darter- I don't mind this, the dino deck has a few humans in it so it has answer to this but still can slip past most dino threats.

If Angrath was a three drop and had two starting loyalty he would see play. The problem with this version is that his +1 is only really good in the early game, but by the time you actually get to five mana the odds your opponent will actually have anything useful left in their hand is pretty slim. I'd rather just have a Phantom Warrior at that point, because at least you can accelerate the clock with equipment that way.

The dino is great, though.
I think suggesting to buff a planeswalker to the level of Liliana of the Veil is overkill if all you want is for it to "see play."

Dinosaur tribal...Merfolk is limited fodder at most. 3 mana for a 2/3 no-strings-attached rainbow mana in relevant creature types is good.
Kinda meh so far.

Ooooh alright recursion that's another one missing from dinosaur tribal edh.

His +1 is too powerful for a three-drop IMO.

I haven't seen this kind of thing in a while, but the Tarkir wedge names are much easier for me to remember since that block was much more recent.
