I love the flavor text on the Zombie way more than I should.
The Red-Green faction is proving to bring some beats! Between Triple Strikers and Contraptions that double damage, it has its fair share of draft bombs. Plus, the hilarious insanity of Goblins mixed with the mayhem of this set is really making me want to buy a box or two. ...And I haven't bought sealed product in years.

I really like this mechanic. It fits zombies so mutch more then entering the battlefield tapped. I know that its weird to praise a mechanic that its a downside but its fits so flavourfully and they can push the creature it self in other aspects.
Ive been waiting so long for these two mechanics. I can easily see both in black border as well
You might say it got here... at last.
Sir. What have you done
He went there. Slowly, but he got there.
Also, hilarious card and flavorfully rendered, loving this set right now.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
Great stuff; I think Rosewater did promise that last strike was undoable in regular Magic, so something like 15 years of custom designs just got vindicated.
As I recall, they tried to do these cards - without the humorous flavor, of course - in Future Sight, but couldn't. I'm glad to finally see them.
I think what keeps "Last Strike" from being a black-bordered keyword is that it is explicitly a drawback keyword, and (if memory serves), Wizards has backed away from doing those (other than Defender, which is basically grandfathered in) for a variety of reasons.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

That is a good reason to not be a keyword, but in this case there's an even better one: It'd be messing with the combat damage step and cause a lot of headaches for the people who write the rules all for the sake of having a drawback.
At first I didn't get the flavor text on the zombie. "Brrrrrr...."? Is he cold? Then it dawned on me that he's just taking a reeeeeally long time to say "Brains" and then I lost it.

This set is gold.
Also note that the Zombie started hunting for brains at night, and behind it, the sun has already risen and is fairly high in the sky.

There are also weird cases where players would be unable to intuitively guess how keywords work if you have multiple on the same card e. g. how does damage assignment work on a creature that has both first stirke and last strike? how for a creature that has both double strike and last strike? It's easy to make such a call, but it seems impossible to make it in such a fashion that it does not feel arbitrary and unnatural to a substantial subsection of players for at least one case.
This applies only for last strike. If they decided to just introduce triple strike the rule "more strikes beats less strikes" would intuitively work fine.

Last Strike and Triple Strike are stuff I wouldn't have minded seeing in an actual set and felt appropriate. Feels good to get vindicated even if in an un-set.
Obvious reference to the Army of the Damned. And everyone's love for last strike and triple strike. (Of course.)
We should've had triple strike during Theros.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Edit: Also, source?
And a 3/3 for two, that has last strike. That doesn't seem that bad really.
The more they reveal of this set, the more fun it is looking at the moment.
Edit - Hey MysticLeviathan, what is the source for these two cards?
You might say it got here... at last.
