The Countdown Is at One3RR Sorcery (Rare)
Players play a Magic subgame,
starting at 1 life and using their
libraries as their decks. For the rest
of the main game, if a source would
deal damage to a player who didn't
win the subgame, it deals double that
damage to that player instead.

I hope the play test name was "It's the Final Countdown" or something of that sort.
Seems strong in red, for the aforementioned Land, Damage capabilities. Seems strong in multiplayer/Commander because it affects all players who lost. And finally, it's not an enchantment, so it's effect is permanent for the remainder of the main game.
New goal in life: Overload Mizzix's Mastery with this card in the bin. We find out if the rest of my spells kill everyone after this quick subgame of doooooooooooooooooooooooom!
It'll be fun to cast this in a multiplayer game while you have Baron Von Count at 1.
"Now the two of us shall play a little sub-game..."
"But there are three of us."
"Right, silly me, I forgot." -Destroys the person who spoke up- "Where was I? Oh yes, the two of us shall play a little sub-game..."
Baron Von Count gives me the impression that he'd throw one heck of a great new years party.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
I think I've learned to treat Magic cards like baseball cards: keep 'em in a binder in numerical order, don't play with 'em, try to finish the set and just keep my head down.
I wonder if the other factions will get subgame cards?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Playing a spell that costs two life, in a game where you start at one life?
Well, you could always pay mana instead.
You can actually cast it by using red mana as well. A fact I also tend to forget
Turn 1: Mountain, Gut Shot, victory.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

Yes, according to Rule 718.2, you randomize the first player in the subgame.
