Caveat emptor? That one is perfectly fine, because it affects you. The others--isn't there an ante card that says your opponent has to either ante another card or forfeit the game--are much more problematic from a rules perspective.
I will ask MaRo on blogatog, but I can guess his answer: "Ante cards shouldn't be allowed as they are very much not fun."
Edit: MaRo's answer is that you can't get ante as it's no longer in the game.

Ante plain isn't enforceable anymore; anteing in this situation probably means moving the card outside the game, but you get it back afterwards win or lose.
Reading this card made me laugh out loud. There's that high-octane nonsense I've been waiting for. Too bad I don't own very many banned cards
EDIT: Hold up everyone, this would make a HELL of a commander
I mean we're already bending the rules to even play this card, though it's worth noting that sideboard/wishboards or anything "outside of the game" isn't a thing in Commander like it is in other formats.
If we're bending the rules to allow un-cards I'm not sure the literal spikiest card is the right way to go.
I see people have been conditioned and can't identify a woman if she does not overflow.
In a vacuum I could see someone coming to the conclusion that this Spike is nb, but I'd be surprised if that was what they were going for with the art direction.

I just like the idea of playing her in a format with 40 life, where you can guarantee to cast and activate her turn two if not earlier, and fish out some broken crap. I'll grant you, though, that trick is probably only funny once
MaRo has ruled (on blogatog, as the Un-Rules Manager) that Spike can get any card that has ever been banned or restricted in a Constructed environment.
Why would a tournament grinder cheat? Or am I getting the flavor wrong?
They're not cheating; I'm guessing Spikes netdecking is what causes cards to be banned due to them getting broken. Because Spikes only play the format-warping cards. Remember CawBlade?

Not how it works. Format-based deckbuilding rules and set exclusions do not constitute being on a banned or restricted list, or else this card would be able to get anything not in standard.

Almost. Spike can't actually fetch Voltaic Key. But you can go for Black Lotus, Lion's Eye Diamond, Time Vault, and Demonic Tutor (for Key). A Spike commander deck could do this turn 1 with some consistency, thanks to Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors, Lotus Petal, Crystal Vein, Dark Ritual, etc. Good times, good times.

I stand corrected. Even better, then!

Pretty sic curve if you ask me.
Frankly, I think that the art almost perfectly matches the definition of bifauxnen.
