Vance’s Blasting Cannons3R Legendary Enchantment (R)
At the beginning of your upkeep, exile the top
card of your library. If it's a nonland card, you
may cast it this turn.
Whenever you cast your third spell in a turn,
you may transform Vance’s Blasting Cannons With a broadside assault, Captain Vance carved
the cliffs to form her new home.
/ / / / / Spitfire Bastion Legendary Land (Transforms from Vance’s Blasting Cannons) T: Add R to your mana pool. 2R, T: Spitfire Bastion deals 3 damage
to target creature or player. Now instead of a ship, Ripley Vance
commands a fortress.
So, answer is probably no but I'll ask in case I'm wrong; can we recur this from the graveyard with Crucible of Worlds? So, I guess it boils down to: is a two-faced cards both of it's type while in the yard? Cheers.

Nope. In graveyards, DFCs are seen as their day-side up side.

More generally - in all zones except the battlefield, they're day-up side. It is only on the battlefield that these flip-to-land rares can be lands.
Kess doesn't want it but she might if it could play lands.
I don't think so, I'm sure any Izzet deck can flip this accidentally, and then you've got a land that throws out lightning bolts, yes it's for 3 mana, but that's not a bad price to pay to keep dishing out lightning bolts. I know burn doesn't typically scale well in EDH, but 3 damage is enough to knock out most of the more popular utility dorks that often populate the board, as well as constantly beating down any Planeswalkers.

This card is a better version of Outpost Siege. It was rare to use Siege for its other mode, this card is a significant improvement. The only real downside in the comparison is the fact that you could have multiple sieges on board, while you can't with this one. This will be playable in standard in multiple decks, from aggressive to control decks. The land side also does double duty, working in both control decks and aggressive ones. This cycle of lands is excellent, all cards have constructed potential and all are great in EDH.
Best cycle I've seen in a long long time.

It's a lot of setup to get Ghostfire on a land, which is nothing to scoff at, but not worth jumping through hoops for. You need pay 4 mana for a worse Outpost Siege, which is a decent card, but a card most streamlined Izzet lists shouldn't be playing. Then you have to play 3 spells in one turn.
So, a red version of Phyrexian Arena becomes a much better Shivan Gorge. Shivan Gorge is actually a good card, believe it or not, it's just that the restofthecycle is OP even by Urza's Saga standards. Being able to Bolt to the head every turn should be enough to close the gap.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Then what about other color combinations besides Izzet?
Mono Red would be happy to have a repeatable source of damage that for the most part can't be interacted with.
Rakdos hellbent style decks would enjoy something onboard that can let them keep their hand empty. I hear Sire of Insanity and Mindslicer do work.
Boros would like any kind of late game staying power it can get.
And, lest we forget, sometimes people don't have access to something like Outpost Siege. This gives players one more comparative version of an effect, that's always appreciative.

Outpost Siege can play lands, which is super non-trivial for these impulsive-draw enchantments. It essentially makes 40% or more of this card's pulls into turns where it does nothing. Not sure I like it more than Outpost for that reason.

Just be grateful it's legendary.
I thought it costed 2R. Okay. It's manageable. Phew.

Maybe played in standard. At least a 1-of.
EDIT: oh the real card says 3rd spell. The text version says 1st spell. Not easy to flip in limited. Can someone edit the post?
Very dozy land Basicly have outpost siege khans mode
And enflip side is 2R for throwing lightning bolts at stuff too bad you can only do it once a turn.
Kess doesn't want it but she might if it could play lands.

It's different from PA in a few ways... why not just say Khans-mode Outpost Siege (except lands suck)?

Your a newbie to edh aren't you?
This is cake wake difficulty to flip in edh
Lots of creatures have atleast 3 toughness
Despite costing 2R to use its lightning bolt on a stick
Here's your commanders who can take this

You can also use it in burn decks in edh

Dealing three damage is extremely underrated in EDH: three damage kills a lot of very very good creatures.
Not to mention persistent damage for Boros, the color combo that needs fuel for longer/multiplayer games.
