I had predicted a Lotus Vale flipland, but I expected that would be the backside of the Green mythic flipper. Did not think they'd make that level of ramp available to nongreen players.
With the Dagger having a may for its flip effect it's rather decent for an equipment. Puts two bodies out, which is nice enough for 2 mana, that can be 2/3s when equipped. Finally, it can ramp in any color. It's all sorts of nice.

I got this wrong at first too, the opponent gets the plants.
Works with cards where you want them to get creatures like oath of druids. In commander it also can be a political boon as you can give someone defenders.
I figured that they were going to go for the Black Lotus analogue at some point (although I guess Lotus Vale is a more direct comparison). I figured it would be in Rivals of Ixalan though.
It's good, and it may be quite powerful if you design a deck around taking advantage of it, but I don't think it's broken.
Great card, and the flavor is hilarious to me. Consider the fact that a Dowsing instrument (Usually a rod, wand or stick) is used sort of like a compass to lead you to something, and the art has the user with his arms straight out and holding the dagger pointed directly outward. I just imagine some random pirate running blindly through the jungle holding a knife pointed directly out front, hoping to run into something good with it.
Ixalan will be remembered for these lands, long term.
No doubt, dino are fun, and some seem to have potential modern appeal, but these flip lands are so good, it's not funny. flying, trample, falter, make your pick, this land is bonker.
This says "combat" damage, by the way, so unless I am missing something in regards to what you all are suggesting, it has no usefulness with Walking Ballista...

Holy cow, I didn't catch that on the first glance. Multiples of this can be a thing.
