Why does everyone critique planeswalkers as if you're tapping out for this by itself? In BG, you should have creatures around her and can definitely creature massive value over time. I don't mind this at all.
I think the general process of analyzing any card for the first time is to think about how it stands by itself. That's a logical thing to do because there are times in gameplay when you only have one permanent out. Also, when we are getting a set spoiled, we have only limited access to the environment in which the card will be played. After Kaladesh, I remember reading a pro who said that Collective Defiance is a great card in a normal Standard environment, but with Chandra, Torch of Defiance out there, it undercuts some of the former's value. Those types of evaluations are only possible when you have access to all of the information available; something that's not possible during spoiler season. And don't forget that we're getting ready to rotate a bunch of cards.
tl;dr - during spoiler season, it makes sense to initially evaluate a card by itself. makes even more sense when rotation looms. obviously, it's not the final word on a card's value. it's just a great way to get a feel for a card.
I don't think that Constrictor wants this card. It doesn't synergize with the deck at all, which is what that deck is all about (card synergy). It's definitely a control card and maybe a midrange card. The question is Jund, Abzan, or Sultai?
She could easily have been 4cmc and 4 starting loyalty w/ exact same abilities, not be broken in Standard, and potentially be playable in Modern, b/c the other Vraska misses by just oh so much.
I love dinosaurs and was ready to play prerelease and pull the plug on two booster boxes of this set...all I was waiting for was to see my other favorite walker be Modern playable.

No, it probably doesn't; I was merely answering the question which was asked.
With those three options I would probably go with Sultai Pirates to take advantage of cards like Hostage Taker and Lookout's Dispersal, not to mention green creature support from Kaladesh/Amonkhet blocks (we are looking at you, Rhonas) and black removal spells.
I think she's a pure upgrade for original Vraska in EDH - original Vraska typically just makes the cut because she's an expensive removal spell, but this is a token maker that can also be most of a Desert Twister with upside, making her much more versatile/powerful. I also love the flavor they've built for Vraska - she's actually a very loyal, friendly planeswalker for, you know, a murderous treasure-hungry gorgon who can kill with a gaze.
Probably a miss in Standard, but we can't have it all.

This card is crazy good cause unless your opponent plans to win in the next two turns she cannot be ignored. If she can fire off her ultimate those two pirates win the game unless your opponent has 4 creatures. So she must be attacked or the tokens must be removed.
Interesting how all Ixalan Walkers make Tokens.
4 mana has been skipped. So i guess Angraath & Ajani will be both 4 Mana hopefully.
Vraska shares the powerlevel with the other Walkers: AVERAGE
+2 is low impact for 6 Mana.
-3 is good & versatile.Especially if repeated so easily. But at that advanced point of game, no idea why i get a Treasure. Guess 4 flava
-10 well is a good Ultimate.
Her high loyality is a big + though
So shes worse than Suns Champ of corse. On par with Flamecaller, but a lot better than Grim Nemesis.
As a face walker of a Standard-legal set she is wretchedly bad everywhere but EDH. She was spoiled today at Hascon so her wretchedness would be lost in the spoilers for Iconic (Commander) Masters, which is where all the chatter is now.
I guess I should not be surprised at this though, b/c Standard expansions now are nothing but Commander products in disguise.

Shes... okay. I play edh pretty exclusively these days and cant think of anywhere id like to jam her (other than between the legs am i rite) but shes not exactly bad either

Don't forget the tokens pop for ANY color.
But I agree she's not a good fit for pirates aggro. If anything pirates would shift to hand attack out of the board or burn.

What's messed up is that is not Magic Christmasland. You will have three draws to find these pieces and curve it together.
Probably a miss in Standard, but we can't have it all.

It's not always about the power level. She might indeed be overcosted, but this ultimate is positively UNFORGETTABLE.

Not sure I like her better than the original but she does pass the most important test for a Superfriends deck, juicing all three modes at that.
Maybe I'll try her out..
