Search for Azcanta 1U

At the beginning of your upkeep, look at the top card of your library. You may put into your graveyard. Then if you have seven or more cards in your graveyard you may transform Search for Azcanta.
Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin
Legendary Land
: Add U to your mana pool. 2U , : Look at the top four cards of your library. You may reveal a noncreature, nonland card from amoung them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
Well, just goes to show that not all the transform-lands are upgrades/sidegrades of old broken ones. Azcanta's pretty cool; a serious combo-control player. I generally like this cycle.
Eww. If the bottom ability didn't cost mana (like the others) or even only cost one U, then I would like this card. This means no Tolarian Academy Flip card .
I guess it's nice for spellslinger decks. Having 7 or more cards in your graveyard feels like a weird flip condition for this(When I think self mill, I think shenanigans with creatures in the grave, not this).
With that said, looks like a nice way to improve your draws lategame for control decks if you have unused mana or run a noncreature wincon.
It is interesting. Much easier to flip, provides early card selection and has late game application. To be honest I can see 2~3 copies of this card slotted in control decks. It is also a cheap way to enable delirium quickly, if that counts for anything.
EDIT: The more I think about this card, the more insane it starts to look to me. An impulse effect with certain restrictions is quite strong. The cost of the enchantment is very cheap. Adding mana means it will ramp you the turn it flips. I'm starting to think this might be playable on modern.

That cost to draw was needed to be printable and not auto-ban in modern. Had it been U it would not be modern legal, it's just too easy to have 7 cards in the GY.
Now that seems powerful ! Sure you need more ways to get cards into the grave than its own effect.
But even the enchantment is a better Scry at upkeep.
The Landside-ability looks so strong !
Diggin 4 cards deep for either an answer, or a threat.
Control-Playas have ejaculation ?
It's not remaking a broken Reserved List effect like many of us hoped for.
But, this is still a very good card. The enchantment side is pretty solid, and the land side will prove quite effective even at that cost as an opponent's eot effect. It's a subtle effect but this will see a lot of play I think.
Y'know, the first thing I thought of when I saw the flip side was, 'Why couldn't they just have said 'you may reveal a card that would trigger Prowess...''
I know that they can't, but that's just too amusing.
For some reason this card doesn't have the "wow" factor the others have had. Sure, the legendary land is a slightly watered-down Supreme Will that you can use to dig for an answer every turn, but that doesn't make me want to obtain a set right away. Perhaps I am underestimating this card--that certainly isn't outside the realm of possibility.
In Standard, this seems like a good way of winning faster in decks trying to win with Approach of the Second Sun, specially more controlling shells. Both sides speed up your clock and provide some filtering and eventually card selection.

Wizards bannings have really got people scared. People think cards not even close to competitive in Modern would be broken when the proposed changes wouldn't even break them in Standard.
1. A 2 drop do nothing ETB Enchantment that slow digs wouldn't really fit into EVERY modern deck or even break any of the current ones.
2. GY hate is strong both in modern and standard, one wipe of the Yard sets this card back to a simple "Scry 1 into GY at Upkeep".
3. This card doesn't work well with itself, either you want to fill your GY and the flip side tucks, or you want to keep the spells out the of the GY and the front side does not do that.
This card isn't terrible and playable in FNM Standard, but a disappointment compared to the others.
My god, people calling this card terrible are in for a rude awakening. Talk about evaluating a card incorrectly. It will DEFINITELY see standard play, not sure if it will see modern play. I can see it being played in a jeskai,blue/white,blue/black control shell.

This could be a nice control sideboard card in modern for the mirrors and grindy matchups. Postboard vs discard heavy GBx? yes please. Getting 7 cards in the yard will always happen and a 3 mana impulse every turn is going to win you the game so often.
Seems playable, just very durdly.
Not sure you can risk it against strong mono red in standard. If mono red is weaker or slower then it will see play.
I expect to see it, but it might be meta dependant.

Green gets a strictly inferior Cradle so I half-expected a garbage Tolarian Academy for blue. But this is just utter trash.
If I have to spend 5 Mana and mill 7 of my own cards just to activate a card's ability, it had damn well better win me the game.
It might be a bomb in limited or pack wars, but it will never see any legitimate play.
This set has a LOT of filler. Still waiting for some REAL spoilers.
