Wanted Scoundrels 1B
Creature -- Human Pirate (U)
When Wanted Scoundrels dies, target opponent creates two colorless Treasure artifact tokens with "T, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool."
4/3
As to the card itself, it seems pretty good, especially in Limited. I doubt Modern wants it but maybe the Standard Pirates deck can make use of it (if one ends up being present) as it seems pretty aggressive.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Future Fatal Pushes even get the added bonus of Revolt off the Treasure tokens, so it's pretty risky, and yet it can run off with the game if not answered on curve. You could always Magma Spray it before it goes down...
This card could be decent in Limited/Sealed where there isn't as much removal but there are far too many inexpensive ways to kill it in Standard.
I suppose you could be trying to be subtle and throw this in some God-Pharaoh's Gift deck where you *want* your creatures to die even if they give an opponent a small advantage. That's a bold move, though.

The Torpor Orb creatures won't stop this drawback since this is a death trigger, not an enter the battlefield trigger.

I know. That is why I asked Underused Cards what Torpor Orb (or its effect) had to do with this card as there doesn't seem to be any interaction.
If you guys are playing black after the rotation, you're doing it wrong. This card is crap, but, the majority of the decks that will be played are going to be red, green/red, and any g/r/x variant. Red is overloaded with good removal and this is a bad card to be playing with what those decks are doing. You'll allow them to drop turn 3 hydras and glorybringers.
Creature should have been bigger (5/4) or had some combat effects (Trample, Menace, etc...). As is, it is pretty much pays the opponent back for killing it, while being mediocre in combat and not enough above the curve in stats/powers to be worth the drawback.

This is better with Duress-like cards to help eliminate kill-spells, etc.

Many thanks to DNC at Heroes of the Plane Studios
Especially when both pay for themselves when used on this crew.
"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
And harnessed lightning. And abrade

Flavorful too... kill the pirates to own their treasure....
Will get a playset of these for sure.
